Moving Home Made Easy

I’ve have realised that finding a good removals company is always tricky – you only do it occasionally and there’s not going back if things don’t work out on the day! I have usually used a friend’s recommendation or other local knowledge before, but being new to the Glasgow area that was not so easy.

My move was a local one (only 8 or so miles in the Garelochhead area) and I really wanted it done in a day, so I got 4x quotes. The most highest was outrageous and they obviously didn’t want the business. The lowest was just too low and I couldn’t see how they could make any money and I really didn’t want to trust my entire house to some guys who were probably being paid less than minimum wage.

That left two, who both did a proper survey and I chose ‘Moving Home Made Easy’ as their quote was reasonable, the surveyor who did the survey was very knowledgeable, offered good advice and easy easy to deal with. The whole ethos of ‘Moving Home Made Easy’ appears to be around customer service and I thought I would give them a go – especially as the personal contact and information given by David Reed the MD was second to none.

The move went fine, the guys were great and took good care over the boxes (I packed myself with boxes provided by them and some I already had) and with furniture etc. Nothing was broken or damaged. All in all I would recommend ‘Moving Home Made Easy’ as they seemed to live up to their name.

David and the team made our move so simple. We are being moved for 6 months whilst our insurance make repairs to our home, so our stress levels are through the roof, but Moving Home Made Easy really live up to their name.

From David making a personal visit on the day to do a walkthrough, and to explain when the team would turn up and what they would do, to the good natured banter from the removal tea m. Seriously, they had me proper gut laughing.

That said, they might have a laugh with each other but they take their work very seriously. Nothing was too much for them, and I was absolutely amazed at how quickly they worked. Quickly, but thoroughly.

On the other end, they were absolutely fantastic in getting everything in the new house, placed and put together. Special notice to Jack who was a great point of contact whilst the removal was happening. Incredibly professional and friendly.

There are lots of local removal companies, and I’m sure loads of them are great at what they do. But I won’t be using anyone else if I can help it - the value, service, and overall experience from the team at Moving Home Made Easy really is second to none.

Moving house is not fun..so anything that can reduce the stress & worry should be grabbed with both hands. David and the chaps at Moving Home Made Easy couldn't have come up with a more apt name if they tried. Lots of information upfront, reasonably priced and transparent communications made planning for the move really simple. On the day, the guys turned up and got straight to work, all were pleasant and helpful. I cannot fault the professional attitude of David & his team and will be recommending their services to family & friends without hesitation.

The guys that carried out the removal were extremely nice and polite. I was quite sceptical about this company at first but when I met David my mind was put at rest.
I would really love to have given this company 5 stars, but I'm finding too many things damaged. My leather suite has suffered nicks because of rubbing door edges. My table is chipped, my brass light is full of dents. I have a washing machine that no longer works because the older guy fitted it (which was kind of him) but he didn't check if the pipe under the sink was capped and it was. Now I'm washing clothes in the bath because I can't afford a new machine after the price of the move..(which was reasonable by the way) I could go on but I won't. Suffice to say the whole group of guys are great and work very hard. I'm just disappointed that so much damage has been done in the process. Sorry guys you were great but someone maybe needs to take better care. I seem to be the only one here that's given a less than perfect review, but I'm being honest. The pick up was South Lanarkshire but have to put Glasgow because SL not on list.

Since writing my former review, I have had a meeting with David Reed.
He very kindly came out to see me to inspect the damages I referred to in that review.
On inspecting the damages, we came to an amicable agreement on this matter, and David reimbursed me to cover these damages.
This now makes David's company a complete 5 star rating from me!

MOVING MADE EASY
‘Really does make moving made easy ‘
I found the service and professionalism of the removal company 'Moving Made Easy' to be second to none. Totally a 5 star company.
The first thing that I was impressed with, was the fast response from David Reed the MD of the company within 30 mins of my request, he was straight down to business and it gave me a feeling of, this guy knows what he's doing. Very impressive!
He was polite, knowledgeable and most importantly totally professional.
David knew his job and put me at ease straight away, which for me was ideal as I was extremely stressed out about moving house.
David just talked calmly and guided me every step of the way.
Within the first week he had kept in touch several times to relieve me of any apprehensions I had.
He brought me boxes, tape, bubble wrap and even sent some of his team to help me start the task of packing.

I would like to add that this was not my moving day, this was just an added service that he kindly afforded me, which was a life saver as I couldn’t cope with everything strewn about my house and for a very reasonable cost, he put the boxes into storage for me until I had completed my big move..

Regarding the removal day, the guys were just fantastic.
Everyone of them was extremely polite and knew exactly what their job was , and I was very impressed with the care that they took whilst handling my furniture, my antiques and my precious ornaments, carefully wrapping them and carrying them with tender loving care.

My carpets and my sofas were protected (ivory colour) with covers and there was not a mark on them when the removal was completed, I couldn't fault their professionalism of every aspect of my removal.

The staff who were involved in my removal were just full on in every level. This is a first class team who conducted their work with the utmost precision and care.
I could not believe that a house move could be so stress free, I certainly wasn't prepared for the expertise of the staff. They packed my belongings and reminded me of small silly things that I had overlooked.

I personally feel that the day I was dreading so much was dealt with ease and I actually felt that this was just fantastic. Apart from my own small personal items, I was done and dusted by mid afternoon, totally unbelievable and amazing, these guys had a special ability to make the horrendous job of moving a piece of cake, (absolutely true).
I would not hesitate to recommend David Reeds Removal company as they definitely lived up to their slogan "Moving Made Easy.
