Masons Moving Group

I had a nightmare with this company and would not recommend them to anyone. I made it clear that I needed to be packed up and ready to leave my property by 12pm. I was told the removal van would be with me for 9am and ready to go by 11.30 am. I stressed that I wanted everything on the one van as my last experience wasn’t good Which I had with a small removal firm Which took all day to move me and was very stressful. I was assured they were A professional Company and everything would run smoothly. The van turned up after 10.30 am. And I was assured another van was joining them as they didn’t have any larger vans available. When the first van still wasn’t ready to go and the second van still hadn’t showed up at 1pm myself and family had to start filling our cars to transport smaller items to my new address. Luckily this was only a five minute drive around the corner. When I contacted the manager to complain he was no help at all and his only answer was they were busy. He obviously didn’t care As I had paid him cash earlier that week which was a big mistake on my part. The second van eventually turned up and was filled, with us making numerous journeys in 4 cars to help. I was disgusted with the manager’s attitude and it made a stressful day worse. The boys on the van were very friendly and courteous and I wouldn’t say a word against them. But they were sent to do a job that they were not equipped for. Very bad management.

Our move fell through the first time on the afternoon on the day of moving. I appreciate this is unusual at such a late time but have to say that Masons were brilliant. They were sensitive to the situation and got in extra staff to move us back into our house with minimum disruption. They unpacked what we needed and were keen to make sure we were ok. They moved us again a few weeks later and everything went well.  At all times they were couteous and friendly. They were extremely helpful and gave us good advice. On the phone they always answered or rang straight back and were able to resolve any issues or questions promptly. They were sympathetic to our situation and behaved very professionally at all times. We would highly recommend them.

Masons were excellent for our move in August 2017 from Cardiff to Netherlands. The estimator explained all and described how we and he could best organise things, he gave good advice on packing and free supply of boxes, all with the lowest estimate. Removals day packing went well, arrived and left on time, same two workers delivered everything in Holland and worked like trojans to empty the lorry, even coping well with the washing machine going to the top floor via a spiral staircase - they did a fantastic job with no breakages or damage. We would give Masons a high recommendation!

I paid Masons cash for my home move, the day before I was due to move they called to say they were not carrying out any further removals due to the Government Guidelines. The Government Guidelines that day did not state home moves could not continue. I explained I had exchanged contracts and was obliged to move otherwise I would be in breach, they did not care!

Assured me my money was safe with them, as if I would use them after the way they let me down! I asked for a refund, they have sent me a cheque, wish I had insisted they pay the funds back into my account!

They came highly recommended, completely dissatisfied, I will definitely not recommend them!
