They completed us in 5 weeks despite some technical issues with access over a neighbouring property. Superb.

MUVE is based in Richmond, London - using basic skilled staff. For the price you pay, don't expect them to be proactive to get the sale closed. The sales process was admin intensive for us - we were asked to complete an extremely lengthy questionnaire and essentially answer any queries from the buyer. I feel that MUVE could have done more to assist here. On the plus side, they were responsive and did chase up the buyers when we pushed them to.

On average it took x3 emails to get an amendment made. The MUVE portal doesn't work that well for uploading files so a lot is done via email. You get given a direct line to your 'dedicated account manager' but always go through to the main desk where you have to give ALL of your details and reason for calling, everytime...

Thank you very much for the 4* rating and the additional feedback that you have provided. We are constantly reviewing our technology and are one of the only law firms in the UK to have a dedicated in house IT team to be able to make these improvements. So we shall review your comments in detail and see what can be done to make this a 5* review for the future!

Good communication

- We have a very simple case; first time buyers for a chain-free property. - Very poor internal communication, no preparation was made when my conveyancer left the company and my case was not handed over in advance causing delays and missed exchange. - Would block phone number (Would try to call them to follow up on issues - tried different phones to call them and only answered phones that were not ours) - When exchange was missed and phone calls/emails were not being answered, had to get in contact with CEO - after which they were able to exchange immediately. - Portal is very clear and up to date at the start but quickly becomes redundant as it is not updated - I went with them because of a) the onboarding team was very excellent, great sales people, b) good trustpilot reviews at the time and reallymoving.com recommended, c) guaranteed completion before stamp duty holiday, and d) they were the only company i could find taking clients so close to the deadline last winter. - I imagine they took on too many clients over stamp duty holiday and got overwhelmed/did not have the staff to keep up with caseload. - Given our tight and desperate situation, I suppose we could not have gone with any other conveyancers BUT I was very disappointed with how unnecessarily stressful it was working with Muve. If the stamp duty holiday was not a thing then I probably would not recommend them - but hopefully in that case, they would be less overwhelmed and not mismanage your case.

We are disappointed to read your review and we apologise for the confusion in respect of the handover between our conveyancers, which resulted in 2 days delay to exchange. Ultimately completion occurred on 26th April as agreed by you and the vendor; a duration of 12 weeks from date of instruction. As you were aware at the time, we were in a position to complete by 30th March (before the original Muve conveyancer left, which would have meant no handover was necessary), but your vendor wanted a later completion, which was agreed by all parties. We do apologise for the inconvenience and have contacted you to discuss this further with you. Overall though, at a time of very high demand due to the SDLT holiday, 12 weeks was significantly quicker than the national average, and for well over 90% of transactions where we were pushing to beat the June deadline we did achieve that timeline, so we feel this demonstrates we did have sufficient staff for the volume of work we accepted. If you wish to discuss this further, please feel free to contact us.

We haven't yet completed the sale or purchase, but so far I have been impressed by their communication and efficiency.
