Thoroughly professional person; absolutely recommended- he is willing to give long consultation and great value for money. I went round with him during the survey and got the full lowdown. In the end I decided on his advice not to purchase which was a blow to me- but not as much a blow as it would have been to buy a substandard property. Mr Rod Stradling's impartial guidance and advice on the purchase of a 50 years old property was essential and invaluable. From the outset and throughout, Rod was easily contactable (a major plus these days), friendly and professional and completely the master of his brief. Rod offered the opportunity to accompany him on his survey, which was taken and which afforded the opportunity for a layman such as myself to fully understand the faults as well as the virtues of the proposed purchase. After the survey Rod quickly emailed 173 photos followed by an excellent written report. This highlighted major safety hazards ie asbestos, worn out electrics etc and on the strength of Rod's report the price was renegotiated down by £5000. Clearly, instructing Rod was a very worth-while investment and I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

A very personal service offered by Rod who is extremely conscientious in his work.Rod prefers for you to be onsite during the survey so any issues can be fully highlighted.In our case we couldn't attend so a comprehensive portfolio of photographs was emailed to us and we had a detailed conversation on the phone going through the various issues.The technical aspects were very well explained to us.Because Rod is not part of a larger company,phone calls and emails are not always immediately answered,but rest assured we were completely satisfied and impressed with the professionalism and personal service offered by Rod.
