It has been very unfortunate that I choose the Muve conveyancing company to work with. They offered a good price (fixed with no move, no fee) & an online portal to follow their progress in real time. However, most of the work was being channelled through a call centre in Sri Lanka & being dealt with by account managers who only had a basic knowledge of the conveyancing process. The online portal that seemd such a cool addition because we could watch the process of our conveyancing process became a source of great frustration because it became a place to see how little work was being carried out. Our house purchase should have been really easy as we were first time buyers (no stamp duty) & were cash buyers with no chain.They often did not know what had to be done & kept saying that the legal team would look at it but then did not take any action. They admitted that they were very busy because they have taken on such a lot of work, but from the lack of action on their side, it would seem that they had taken on far more than they could handle. My experience of Muve was that they were extremely inefficient, incompetent & at times potentially dishonest in their responses. As such, after 3 months of very little being done & having had a lot of frustration with poor communication, inept responses & poorly trained staff we stopped working with them & employed a local solicitor who was very fast, helpful, efficient & easy to communicate with.

I found them very slow to deal with my file. They needed constant chasing and they lacked attention to detail. I had to point out errors in the documents they sent me a few times. The same emails were sent to me with queries from the other solicitors which I had already responded to. This suggested to me that they had not reviewed the emails I sent to them thereby creating a lot of work for me as a buyer/seller that they were meant to conduct themselves. On the purchase of my property, I was told a few hours before exchange that some documents were missing, yet I had sent information to them about 2-3 days before, and even chased them to ensure everything was in order for exchange. The result was, I had to run around to get these documents to them to ensure exchange happened on the same day. I will not recommend Muve to anyone for conveyancing. Poor service.
