We used chartered surveyor Stephen. He was really helpful throughout the process. He was very efficient; the survey was completed within a few days of my initial phone call and the report published just a couple of days later. We found the survey and report to be very thorough.

The report was very thorough and detailed with photos and an easy to understand structure. A reasonable price for the work done and Stephen worked overtime (weekend) to get the report to us on time which was much appreciated. The report comes with detailed photos and cross referenced comments and a checklist of work to do which is really helpful when looking at a forward maintenance programme (if you decide to buy the house!). The report produced was very clear and used easy to understand terms with limited jargon which was helpful as we are first time buyers. The service was very quick and we appreciated being sent a pdf of the survey which meant we could see the results even faster.

I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the survey; Stephen did a very thorough job and articulated his findings well in the report.

I found Stephen conducted himself in a totally professional manner at all times. From my perspective as a client I felt very comfortable talking with him and his advice and written report was worded so a novice could easily understand. His manner was friendly and reassuring at all times which is important when making a large capitol purchase. I would certainly use Stephen again without any hesitation.

Took a couple of days longer than estimated to do the report but it was a long and comprehensive report. We were away in France when we briefed Stephen Howes and everything was handled smoothly. Following a useful conversation with SH we were able to negotiate a reduction in our purchase price.
