We paid to have some furniture dismantled and reassembled at our new home. On the day, a team of 2 turned up and 2 hours into the move it became apparent they knew nothing about this. When I called AMC to double check they acknowledged that it was an error on thier part, that we had paid for this service and sent another crew of 2 out. which certainly speeded things up. They dismantled 3 beds, and 2 wardrobes which are both in our main bedroom. When the removal crew left and we checked the bedrooms, it was immediately apparent that the wardrobes were extremely shoddy. The three doors on each had been put back in the wrong order, the backing had not been re-attached, the boards appeared to have been forced into place and were bent, and it was impossible to move 2 of the 8 drawers while the others only go in and out with a fight. By chance we had a joiner the next day doing work in our kitchen, and he confirmed that they were in such a bad state as to be unrepairable. We contacted AMC within 2 days and requested that the assembly fee be refunded. We also advised we would be making a claim to replace the 2 wardrobes like for like. AMC sent an insurance claim form and said he would arrange for someone to come out and make good the bad assembly job. This was on June 16th and despite sending another email with the completed form and a request for a visit date, we have heard nothing since (June 28th now). Appalling service. They get one star because the staff were friendly and most of our furniture made it in one piece, but contact since our move has been almost non existent. This move was supposed to cost us around £770, but in reality it's more like £1200 as we have to replace the furniture that AMC have rendered unusable.

Persons doing the move were hard workers. Very polite and professional in their jobs. Helpful and cheerful in offer any assistance.

AMC were absolutely first class from start to finish. Starting with the helpful survey they conducted which allowed us to plan adequately for our move. Contingency plans they gave us in case legal matters delayed proceedings. Finally on the move day the team that moved us were very helpful and moved everything safely and right on plan. I would recommend AMC to anyone wishing to relieve the stress of moving house.

Best money I’ve ever spent. AMC were absolutely fantastic. They were so helpful both before, and during our move. I can’t recommend them enough.
