 At Via Removals & Storage Ltd, we specialise in full house moves. Whether you’re moving to the next street, or the other side of the world, our aim is to make your home move as comfortable and stress free as possible. Established in 2000, we know that everyone’s requirements are different, which is why we always go the extra mile, offering a variety of different services, and are happy to work on short notice.

 
We have offices in Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Nelson, Blackburn, Preston, Bolton, Bury and Oldham. In addition, we cover the whole of the Northwest and Yorkshire regions.

We offer both local and long distance cover, and offer 3.5 tonne and 7.5 tonne vans, as well as ‘man and van’ services. We accept credit cards, bank transfers and cash.

do not touch this firm with a barge pole, they totally rip you off on the day you are moving so you have no choice but to pay all the extras they charge you, when we first booked them they asked me what type of house we were moving, I told them it was a three bed house and everything that goes with it, on the day a 3.5 ton van turned up which is absolutely useless, I spoke to the office and they said they will send another van but at an extra cost of £395, like I said it was completion day so we had to move, they just rammed everything in, not protecting anything with blankets, and low and behold we have a very damaged dining chair. we could see they were never going to fit it all in the two vans so we did 4 car runs with the stuff that was left, the cost didn't stop there, the vans rushed off to the new house even though we hadn't completed up to this point , within 30 mins we had a call from the driver say ing they are at the house and we will be charged £65 an hour waiting time, this company should be looked at by trading standards as I believe they do this on a regular basis. keep well clear!!!!!!!!!

Dear Customer, we feel this review is completely false and an unfair representation of our company. We record each call made and received by our office, and we have listened back to your conversation in which you make very clear not everything from the house is moving. We carried out your survey and created an inventory over the phone, as you refused a home visit by our surveyor. We were contracted to move 30 items so a 3.5-ton vehicle was sufficient, on the move day you informed our staff the whole house needed moving including the shed and its contents. We arranged for an additional vehicle which of course came at an additional cost. All your contents were protected in high quality wrap, we provided a free dismantling and assembly service for your beds and moved the contents of your shed all of which we were not contracted for. We also informed you prior to the move we accept payments in Cash or bank transfer to avoid charges incurred by card transactions, but you insisted on paying by card. Our staff worked tirelessly to ensure your move was smooth, and we have never been contacted about any breakages. Our T&C’s clearly state there is a £65.00 per hour key waiting time which is completely normal across the industry. Our 6 guys and 2 vehicles were left waiting close to 5 hours outside your new property. We feel we carried out your move to the best of our ability and your feedback is unfair. Great service. Turned up on time (and we’re able to offer a time slot to suit) and got on with the job. Cannot fault them at all. I think they were slightly expensive than their competitors but as they were the only item who could meet our requirements we went with them. My only complaint is the 2.5% surcharge if you pay by card, so cash it was.

This company were great, there were three men and they worked hard all day to help us move. We needed to make two trips to our new house which was an hour away, so it was a long day. They let me know when they knew all of our things would not fit in the van and the company phoned me to tell me about the price difference for the second trip straight away.

We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Via Removals. There were additional costs on the day of the move, these were for the dismantling of a wardrobe which is an additional service we provide at an extra charge. There was also an additional waiting cost, as we had to wait 3 hours at your new property for you to receive the keys. With regards to broken items, we were not made aware of any breakages on the move day or any time after. We did however offer our packing service but it was not taken so we cannot be liable for breakages due to poor customer packing. Moving can be a very stressful experience. However, Via Removals made it very easy. I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. They were very careful with everything and made it really easy for me. I didn't have to do anything, they did everything for me. And I am very happy and satisfied.

Via removals and Storage LTD is the best firm to contact when dealing with packing and transporting belongings. I had a reasonable price and I'm very happy with the job and the professional and polite staff. Highly recommended.
