At JMO Surveyors, we have over 10 years surveying experience and undertake numerous types of residential survey, including:
- Building Surveys
- Homebuyer Surveys
- Specific Defect Reports
- ISVA House Purchase Reports
Building Surveys
This survey is the more thorough of the two standardised RICS surveys and as such, it is particularly suited to older properties built using less traditional methods. The report will outline specific areas of concern and may include pictures where appropriate. If you are planning renovations, extensions or alterations; this more comprehensive survey is recommended.
Homebuyer Surveys
The RICS Homebuyer Report is a more concise and slightly less detailed version of the RICS Building Survey. For this reason, it is more suited to flats, bungalows or modern properties built using more traditional construction methods. This survey will not detail every aspect of the property, but will focus on items that particularly require attention.
Specific Defect Reports
The survey will focus on one (usually urgent, serious or reoccurring) problem. It will identify the causes of the problems and outline any remedial treatment necessary. Common problems that may be assessed are structural issues, cracking, rot or severe damp.
