RICS Home Buyers Report
You should choose this report if you are buying a conventionally built house, flat or bungalow in reasonable condition.
The RICS HomeBuyer Report is a thorough, visual inspection of the inside and outside of a property. The report will identify defects that affect the value of the property, necessary repairs and any on-going maintenance needed. It will also supply information about location, environmental issues, and energy efficiency.

RICS Building Survey
The Building Survey is recommended for properties that have one of the following characteristics:
• Large
• Old
• Altered
• Unconventionally constructed
• In poor condition.
In your survey report, you will be informed of a wide range of issues in the property, including visible defects and potential problems following a thorough inspection. It will also provide an outline of repair options and the consequences of not remedying the problems and includes advice for your legal advisers and details of serious risks.
