I initially received a quote from reallymoving.com for a Building Survey from CS Surveying of a property I’m looking to buy. There were 3 other surveying companies on this quote, with CS Surveyings being very competitive and was the mid-price quote of the 4. I received an email from John at CS Surveying attaching a sample report of a property to give an indication of their quality of their work. When compared to another surveying companies sample report (the most expensive one), CS Surveying was head and shoulders above. The quality of the written report was clear to read and understand, with evidence attached in the appendix. I called the offices the next day, where the office manager Andrea was helpful in getting me booked in the very next week. She was warm and professional, answering any admin queries I had promptly; I was never waiting long for a response and she was always more than accommodating. On the day of the survey, John rang me in the evening and spent more time than I would have asked of someone in giving an honest rundown of the key information to take from the property, along with any recommendations etc. John was thorough, helpful and personable. He spent time breaking things down as to what kind of implications any faults/repairs could mean in the long run, and the immediate issues to sort. This was massively helpful, as it gave a clear indication of what to expect upon reviewing the report. John then turned this report around much quicker than anticipated and faster than their approximation of 5-7 working days. This was emailed late evening, which was massively appreciated and goes to show how far they will go for their customers. The report was as thorough as expected, with evidence of damp readings in every room, pictures of cracks, repairs and cosmetic/structural issues plus many other factors and a breakdown of the rough costs for these issues both inside and outside of the property. For something that could easily be very stressful to read (both in content, specialist language used and general anxiety in regards to buying a house), this was laid out brilliantly, I’m very glad I went with them. Also worth mentioning, we soon found out after booking that one of our friends went with them within the past 3 months and had similar positive experiences. I could not recommend highly enough, thanks again John and Andrea.
