Originally in Essex, Walthamstow is a large town which was incorporated into Greater London as London started to expand. As it is on the outskirts of the city, it has all the transport benefits that London has, whilst being surrounded by country, such as Epping Forest and Lee Valley. Walthamstow is quickly becoming the place to move to. As well as easy access to Central London and Epping Forest, it has the added advantage for drivers, of being near to the North Circular. As such, it is a great choice for commuters who still want access to beautiful walks in nature, without losing any of the restaurants, bars and shops of a big city. The properties in Walthamstow are mainly Victorian, which could require a thorough survey, especially if extensions or other building work has been done.
Reallymoving recommends two types of house survey, the HomeBuyer Report and the Building Survey. The survey type that will be most appropriate for you will depend on a number of factors, such as the age, construction type and structural condition of the property. In the borough of Waltham Forest, the town has a mixture of old and new buildings, and the borough has over 100 listed buildings in it. Chartered Surveyors will therefore be used to offering both house surveys. They will also be on hand and more than happy to talk to you about their findings and what they would advise based on them, and if you ask them they will be able to give their own valuation of the property.
It is of great importance that a housing survey is completed to stop any unwanted additional problems with your property appearing once you have bought it, and with reallymoving you will be able to directly compare quotes to find the right service for you.
