A fabulous move

They were flexible and patient with us as our exchange and completion dates moved many times. Communication was amazing. And on the day - what a fantastic team. They made moving so stress free. Nothing was a problem. They were quick and such fun. We would highly recommend them as we couldn’t have asked for a better move.

Cancelled provisional booking and left us high and dry.

Do not trust this company. We had a provisional booking and while our solicitors were exchanging contracts, we had a call from Edwards saying that they'd given our slot to someone else! Tried to speak to them about it and the woman in the office was unbelievably rude, refused to talk to me and then put the phone down on me! After much frantic ringing around we found another company but are now paying a hefty surcharge for the late booking, so are hundreds of pounds out of pocket. Avoid unless you enjoy stress and being let down.

Removal.

Very disappointed with the service received, the movers on the day were unprofessional, rude and careless, with some items damaged, and many instances noticed of items being poorly handled. When I spoke to the Manager at W J Edwards the following day, he disagreed and argued with everything I told him about the problems we had. Despite someone visiting beforehand and understanding the property to be removed, the movers spent ages complaining that it wouldn't fit on the lorry. I expected a lot more from a long-established company. Sadly, I would not recommend, and would not use them again.

First-class company.

Our experience with W J Edwards was 5 star from start to finish. The office staff were professional, courteous and thorough - their experience shone through with every conversation we had. And the team on moving day was friendly and efficient, carrying out the move without a hitch. Together, they made what can be a really stressful time so much easier. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Appalling, unprofessional.

Appalling. Unprofessional. Vehicle quote vastly inaccurate, despite someone visiting beforehand and understanding the property to be removed. Expected a lot more from a company established since 1907, at least to understand how much property will fit on a lorry! Would not recommend unless you want to experience trying to find storage at short notice because the size of the vehicle supplied was vastly inaccurate. This Company caused me and my family a lot of pain, stress, grief and £ which was totally unnecessary.
The chaps who actually performed the removal on the day were excellent, but massively let down by the people behind the scenes who face and provide the quotes for customers.
All the gear but no idea!
This could of been so much better.

Removals.

J W Edwards are a careful and professional removal company.
They have now moved us twice, the last time being this year 2016. They are a great team working thoughtfully together to ensure all our belongings were transported efficiently to our new home without damage. We have a lot of stuff with a piano, huge bed, paintings and plants to name a few that the Edwards team patiently navigated into their vehicles and out again in order to bring about a successful house move. I wholeheartedly recommend J W Edwards.

Sloppy.

Much of the goods to be removed could have been left in drawers and moved intact, the legs of my table were removed and only replaced loosely.
For the ammount charged I would have expected a better outcome, they were aware of my mobility issues but they put my chair and risers in a corner and barricaed it in with boxes.
Too eager to get away.

EXCELLENT FIRST CLASS COMPANY

Cannot rate this Company enough. First class Service. Very helpful Staff and nothing too much trouble. Everything went smoothly and all work was carried out professionally. Guys were really personable and took good care of my items. Would 100 per cent use again.
