Long-distance move from Whiteriver, AZ to Volborg, MT

Out of State Move- If I could give negative stars, I would!

I hired this company to move part of my things from Arizona back to Montana. I was given a preliminary quote, which I understand is not a contract. However, upon arrival to pick up my stuff, they were going to charge me more than double so I had to limit what I was having them move. After much back and forth, I was able to get my things picked up. The agreement that was made was for my things to be transported to Butte Montana where they would be stored for 30 days. I was finally given the name of the company who would be delivering my things and found out that my belongings are not in Montana and I do not know where they are. I asked for an invoice from the other company and when I received it, it was over a $1000 more than what I was told on the phone by the person who picked up my things. I was told that I had to contact Verified Moving Pros LLC to discuss my bill. The 888 number has not worked for almost a month and now emails are undeliverable. I also cannot access my original quotes. I am in the process of filing a fraud claim in the county where I now reside. It is despicable for companies to take advantage of people, just because they think they can get away with it. Do NOT hire this company for any reason. One of the most disgusting things to me is that they are supposed to be a veteran owned company. I will be doing everything that I can from a legal standpoint against this company!

Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to Hickman, KY

A month and still no belongings!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I got a quote of guaranteed price of around $4000, after all their "discounts" were applied. My move date was August 12, my new house was closing on the August 15, these dates were guaranteed by the associate giving me the quote for my move. Then around the end of July, yes I did give them plenty of the time to get my move on the schedule, I get a call from the company, that they had to move my date up to August 2, to get me scheduled, kind of an inconvenience, had to change my hotels reservations, since I was driving half way across country, plus add another week of hotel rentals, but, I agreed, since I didn't have time to find a new moving company. I must add that I am 62, one of my "discounts" was the AARP membership. The movers were to arrive between originally, told, between 8 am - noon. Noon rolls around and no movers. Call the company, company no it was between 2pm - 5pm. I said ok sorry for the misunderstanding. 5pm rolls around, no one showed. 5:30 I get a call saying the movers were 4 hours away, and would have to make it August 3, in the afternoon. August 3 rolls around, once again changed all travel arrangements, and around 3 pm, I get a call saying they had to stop for supplies, Finally 2 guys show up at 8:40 pm. One stays out in the truck, the other comes in and starts talking about his life. About 9:30 pm, he actually started packing my kitchen. The whole time telling me, I was good on cubic feet, and there'd be no extra fees. Around 10:30 pm, a third of my belongings were packed in the truck, and 2 disrespectful boys, they were still in school, showed. Within 5 minutes of the boys showing up, even though nothing else was loaded, I had reached my cubic feet limit, and had to pay for additional space. If I did it through the company it would cost me at least $2300 more, but, what they will do, just charge me $1300 more, and they would just divide the money between them and keep it a secret. I said no, let's go ahead and go through the company so in case something happens my belongings will be documented. They refused. They said it was double the work, by having to unload the truck, and photograph everything. I was told that if I didn't Zelle one of the schoolboys, the $1300, they would unload what was packed, in the street, and leave. I Zelled him the money around 1am and 3 of the guys continued packing and loading the truck. The punk boy I sent the money to, was just standing in front of me, refreshing his bank account waiting for the money to hit. I showed him where the money was sent. That wasn't good enough, I tried to explain that it was a large amount and would be in the account when the bank opens, he said I would "rob" him of the money by canceling the ZelIe, I finally got in that I didn't know how to cancel it, because as I showed him it was sent. He went out talked to the other school boy at this point nothing is getting packed or loaded, all 4 of them are out in front of my place, smoking a blunt. He comes back in, it's about a quarter after 2 in the morning, and tells me to cancel the Zelle I sent him, and send the money to the other schoolboy. He showed me how to cancel it, and I Zelled the money to the other boy. A quarter to 3 am rolls around, the money hadn't hit the other boys account yet, and nothing is getting packed. The 2 school boys come in, and told me to cancel his Zelle and go to the ATM at 3 am and get cash out instead. I refused, I am a 62 year old woman, and I don't go out that time of morning. That wasn't good enough. He went and got the other 2 men from outside, and all 4 came in yelling at me, telling me.if I didn't give them cash, they once again, will unload the truck and put my belongings in the street. At this point I had enough. I called the Phoenix Police, because, at this point I wanted them out of my house. The police came and a fter about an hour of the cops being the packing proceeded. At 5 am I was told that the truck was full and had to pick what to leave. For a 762 sq ft move.

Horrific Experience - Nightmare

I have needed some time before writing this review. I will make it as simple to follow as possible.

VMP were very patient and easy to communicate with. Getting situated before paying them their 1/3rd, based on our items, was easy. It is what came next that started the nightmare.

1. Went over our items

2. Paid 1/3rd

3. Second call just before the pickup date SOP. Same company. Cost went up a couple thousand dollars even though we eliminated 25% of the cargo from the list.

4. Guaranteed that "their movers" would accept credit card for the next payment of 1/3.

5. Movers showed up. Third party company. These people did not give a hoot what the inventory list was or the agreed contract price. Demanded a cashiers check for an additional 2500. We eliminated another 15% of our items and that did not matter one bit. Cheetah movers was their name. They showed up in a large U-Haul.

6. We moved across country. The agreement was that we would receive our things in a couple weeks.

7. A month later, Cheetah had issue after issue, we received our items. A completely DIFFERENT company brought it. We paid them their 1/3rd of the grossly inflated price.

8. NOT ONE ITEM was not damaged, scratched, broken, dented, and/or scraped.

In short, RUN! Run as fast as you can from this company and their 3rd party affiliates. Choose a company that is rated by the BBB. Better yet, rent several Uhauls. Pay people to help load and drive your items yourself. Pay people to help you unload. This is one heck of a racket.

Unprofessional, do not use them

I really should have followed my gut with this one, the red flags were apparent from day one as they aggressively insult their competition and interrupt/talk over you when you try to bring up complaints/concerns. When the movers they contracted to pick up my stuff (Familiar Movers) told me to give them a blank check and I asked them about it, they were very dismissive as if this wasn't their problem. When the contracted movers came to get my stuff, in a U-Haul truck, they had a bunch of other people's stuff that wasn't partitioned off. And those movers arrived at 9:30 PM long after the 1-4 PM window I was quoted which meant I couldn't get into my storage unit to let them get half of my things. Then when they pulled into my driveway, they scratched up the stone wall on the side of the driveway leaving a huge 2-3 foot scrape in that wall. As they were loading my stuff into the truck the man in charge dropped the bomb that my stuff, which I had given liberal measurements for, exceded the quoted size alotment and they would have to upcharge me for the extra space. I had to turn them away as it seemed that someone was taking advantage of me. As they were putting everything back they damaged the garage door sensor, which was easy enough to bend back into place, but it demonstrates the carelessness with which they handle their customer's property. Overall, these people are EXTREMELY unprofessional and you are better off dealing with U-Haul who gives you more space and far superior service for the same price.

Terrible!!!!!

From day one, inventory was wrong & we called as soon as we rec’d our moving estimate, within a hour, to let jthem know we have more then 11 items. We have a 2 bd apt. Numerous messages to them! We heard back from someone after the cancellation time frame & needless to say we are out $866.00. What a nightmare! This is what they do! They must need the money more than senior citizens & a Army vet! Very very sad! Ended up cancelling! Reporting them to the BBB & Atty Generals office!

Part 2. Horrible company

I received a response from verified moving pros regarding their inflated fees and lack of a QA to determine the fees. They tried to place all of the blame on me, stating that I did not answer my phone at the day and time of our QA. They seem to have forgotten that I am the customer! I did not receive a phone call from them on the designated day as I was home next to my phone all day in anticipation of their call. I have proof of no call from them. There isn’t even a voice mail to call them back if they DID in fact call me. This is a case of deflecting blame on the customer so that they don’t seem liable and make it seem like they did their part, but they did not. VERY unprofessional, no return call from a supervisor in response to my complaints. All they did was respond to my review here and try to place blame on me. No phone call, no refund, no respect, no thanks Verified Moving Pros!

Long-distance move from Soddy Daisy, TN to Charlotte, NC

Ver misleading quotes.

I cancelled my appointment before the move because there were a lot of red flags. I’ll be as honest as possible without sharing my assumptions here.

I called verified moving pros for a quote. The first thing we did was get all the details of my move, including inventory. In this call, I described every piece of furniture we had in great detail.

For a few examples, I said we had two beds, one queen and one king. The king has a standard metal frame but the queen has an adjustable base that is quite large and heavy and I even said “it’s tough to move”. I recall describing two bookshelves in detail. “One is about 3ft x 3ft and the other is probably 3 ft x 6 ft”. Same with a love sac. I asked the woman recording the inventory if she knew what a love sac was and she said no. I said “it’s basically a beanbag chair but it’s quite large.” I described the entertainment center as about 3 feet tall and 6 feet long. She said got it and transferred me to someone else.

They send an email with the list of everything I had just named. It didn’t have dimensions I had provided, but I assumed she had taken that into account (foolish on my part). The list says things like “2 bed frames, 2 book shelves - SM, entertainment center- SM, etc.” I do notice that some things are listed as “small” when I don’t perceive them that way, but I literally told her the dimensions so I assumed she input them based on my description so I didn’t worry about it. They end up giving me a quote around $4500. I said no thanks, my budget is around $3000. He says it’s ok we can apply some discounts since you have military in your family. Great! New quote is $3300 but only if we make a deposit today. I say ok, sounds great! And make a $1500 deposit.

Fast forward to 5 days before the move. We have the “quality assurance” call to go over the inventory again. This time it’s a different guy, and he’s reading things off the list and asking for dimensions again. He’s saying things like “two small book shelves, is that correct?” And we say, well one is much smaller than the other, we mentioned that before. And he asks for dimensions. We give it to him and he says yea one of those is not considered small so let me update this for you. He does that with all of the things that were initially recorded incorrectly. By the end of the call, he had updated dimensions for 5-6 items and added a vacuum cleaner, 2 lamps, and one night stand we forgot about.

Initially they had us at 482 cubic feet but with the changes it was 780 cubic feet. He then tells us that our new quote is $5700. Nearly doubled. Initially I say there is no way I’m paying that much more. So we will stick with 482 cubic feet and they can just take what will fit. He says ok, and we end the call. After sleeping on it, I got a really uneasy feeling about the whole deal. I felt very misled and taken advantage of. So I called them and cancelled. Lost the $1500 deposit, but feel ok about it because it’s still cheaper to lose the deposit and rent a truck ourselves. This experience has actually convinced me to never use a moving service of any kind ever again

This is a scam company

This is a scam company that will work with you until they get your deposit. That 6 ft macaw bird cage? After 3 days it becomes a budgie bird cage to them and they keep your deposit and requote a BINDING estimate more than double 3 days before your move. Those large boxes? They're now EXTRA large boxes. A $3000 quote becomes $8000, and they walk away with your $1200 deposit. I believe this is their business model.

Also, the company you were probably looking for was Verified Movers, not Verified Moving Pros (scam is written all over it).

I also believe that if they do actually move people's stuff, they're just a middleman for a real moving company. I'm not willing to trust them with my stuff personally to go that far.

Who is the owner of this scam company?

How embarrassing it must be for every person who is affiliated with this horrible company.

The only valid logs you recognize, are those that benefit your company. Sure looks like the negative reviews speak loudly for this company. If they really wanted to help as they say, they would do the right thing and refund the dissatisfied customers.

You can't tell me you were inconvenienced by my booking 3 months in advance that gives you

permission to take and keep $1400 siting that I never cancelled. BS.

And rude customer service reps. Yep! All about NO REFUND. Blames the customer for their lack of servicing the customer.

I cancelled within hours, but of course they say we dont have any record of you cancelling. Their motto is: "so sorry this happened to you, but we aren't refunding you. Thanks for letting us take your money and screw you all, while the unidentified owners drive away with all of your money." As they proudly laugh at being thieves.

Real companies don't treat customers so poorly. And BBB rating doesn't exist. Hmm, why so? Because you aren't worthy of earning any BBB rating. Please tell me why would any one trust your company with their possessions, when you clearly can't be trusted with what you say. Only your word against ours, so according to you, everyone didn't do something right, therefore you feel entitled to be total a**es by keeping our money. You are not about helping anyone, but your pocket. And you are super proud to call yourself a veteran company. SHAME ON YOU!

Redeem yourself and restore your company by paying everyone you wronged. I at least suggested a compromise, but the CSRs absolutely refused, but kept saying, NO REFUND, you're not getting a refund,

So who is the owner of this company and why are you trying so hard to not reveal the identity? You know, the owner who replies to everyone who is dissatisfied with the same, I'm sorry, but how can we be of help, bs story.

I don't believe the positive reviews. There's no way this company earned them. Screwing people over is the only thing you are proud of.

As a military mom, I'm pretty sure this company has no idea about service, since obviously you have failed true service to so many and refuse to accommodate or refund in any way. That's not how our military operate. They do provide service because they do care, unlike this company.
