Swift Van Lines

The original man, Josh Levy that I spoke to has not once made himself available for 2 months. Doesn't pick his phone up, doesn't call back. I have wanted to ask him why he never told me about all the extra fees that are in the fine print on the email I was sent. I didn't know about the extra costs. That's what you should be aware of if you use this company, they charge extra per steps, footage from the truck to the front door or garage, elevators, they nit pick at every single little thing. I didn't know about this until the movers showed up, but I paid it anyway. I had no choice at that point. I asked for the 30 free days of storage, and in the middle of that, I get a call from the driver telling me he's going to deliver soon. I said hold on, I still have some time, I'm not ready yet. He told me he was in Texas and I'm in Tennessee, so he realized his mistake and said he'd call me in a week. Never called me and during that time drove to Georgia and dropped off my things there then continued on to Florida. I called him after my days were up to figure out where the hell he was. He said he was in Florida and would make his way to me, never once mentioning that my stuff was in Georgia. I get another email of a $200 holding charge, so I call the supervisor Laura. I tell her the mix up and it's not my fault he didn't call like he said and drove past me and didn't inform me that my stuff was in Georgia. I got that fee removed, and was told that I would get 24 to 48 hours notice before the new driver would get here. He calls me while I'm at work at 8:30pm telling me he's showing up the next morning between 8am-12pm, and calls me so many times that I finally answer only to result in me getting written up at work because I answered my phone. Didn't give me the notice o was promised and got me in trouble because he continuously tried to get a hold of me instead of just leaving me a text or voicemail, or waiting for me to call back. They show up and again ask for an extra $150 to take my stuff all the way up to the garage or instead they'd just drop my stuff at 75 feet and leave it for me to move myself. So inconsiderate, no heart, no care for the customer, no apology for making anything difficult, Laura says I'm the one being difficult to me on the phone. I'm over this. I'm upset, I'm shaking, and I hate this company. Worst moving company ever. Do NOT use them. Waist of your hard earned money.

When everything moves according to plan that feels good. Just few days ago I got the best move ever. I used Swift van lines while moving from Florida to Michigan. I hired them because of their speedy response to my inquiry, and of course the salesman knew everything and answered any question I had. There were other movers who offered me a better price, but I always go for the quality in personality, sales practices, and of course prior reviews and due diligence, and quality NEVER comes for free. But that does not mean that Swift van lines is expensive b/c they were only $200 higher then the average bid, and the price didn't go up at all.. Movers arrived in my place in due time. They packed all my belongings, carefully loaded up the truck, moved safely to Michigan and made sure that nothing got damaged. I really enjoyed their service and wonderful senses of humor! We are still in the middle of this NIGHTMARE.

Swift Van Lines AKA Western Van Lines is one of the companies the (worst) broker American Plus Moving uses for out-of-state moves. We didn't know we would be working with them until it was too late. The day Western Van lines showed up at our house we were asked to put down the soonest date we could receive our belongings to the new location. The lead guy, Ivan Bucicov told us that they typically show up within a day or two of the date we put and are good about coordinating around that date. He was the second person to tell us something like that, the first being our rep with American Plus Moving. So we planned our drive and flights around that date. We showed up two days ahead of that date incase they were a little early, we started calling the day of that date to see if they were close. This was already over two weeks since they had picked up our things. We called and called for TWO WEEKS while we were told they weren't able to get ahold of the dispatch to find our belongings location. TWO WEEKS after the date we put to receive our items, we were finally told they are still in the warehouse of the state we had them packed in, 3000+ miles from the location we are sitting and waiting in an empty house in. Now they are telling us they don't have to contractually deliver until 30 days from the date we put down, the same date we said we could receive our items and planned our entire move around. They say its in the fine print. So even though I paid this company now thousands of dollars and was told by two separate employees the same thing about the delivery time I am being told I should have fact checked them in the fine print of the contract we were only told to sign AFTER all of our things were packed into the truck. I have two young children that are suffering because of this, its not just us who got scammed at this point. This company has no integrity or accountability, they could care less about the childrens welfare they are disrupting. American Plus Moving and Western Van Lines have made this transition feel like I'm living a nightmare. I cant believe people can treat each other this way. Todays update 4 WEEKS to the day that they picked up our belongings: called Western Van lines customer support and was yelled at and then hung up on by a female named Ashley who said they wasn't a supervisor to speak to. Now no one will pick up the line when I call back.

Haven't received our belongings to review whether or not anything is broken or "missing" yet. Will update as this nightmare continues.
