Strong Move

We paid for both the packing service and to move c.10 miles from a two bedroom flat. I was concerned about the amount of boxes/furniture we had and so we originally asked for 2 vans/a larger van and also queried the time estimate they gave for moving. They said that the packers would confirm when they came but were very sure a larger vehicle/more time would not be needed.

When the packers came we specifically asked them to confirm and they said the medium sized van on its own would be sufficient and that the time booked for the job (c. 5 hours) would be more than sufficient. Other than that the packing service was relatively good. We still expressed reservations to the HQ but they assured us that if everything didn't fit in the van they would send a transit van immediately to pick up the remainder.

When the movers came the following day they immediately said that (i) they did not think everything would fit in the van; and (ii) that it would take them 4 hours (not the initially estimated 2) to get everything out of the flat. We were therefore late delivering our keys to the estate agent. We immediately rang the company and asked for a second van or bigger van to be made available - despite what they had told us the previous day they then said nothing further was available. They either were lying to us then or had lied to us the day before.

In the end the van was 50% smaller than we needed it to be. The movers had to do two trips back to the old flat to collect the remaining items. Luckily the estate manager was able to find a storage area we could leave the items in between the two trips - the removers solution had been that we would just have to leave them in a pile outside the property until they were able to come back - obviously susceptible to both damage and theft - unacceptable.

In the end the job took 11 hours including the multiple trips.

The movers themselves identified one damaged item (a vintage table, the glass of which has been smashed irreparably) and we later identified a broken frame. Despite noting these to the removal company immediately, the full charge for the service (which was c. 3 times the estimate) was taken from my husband's account immediately after the movers left our property that evening. We have been chasing for over a month (via email and telephone) for compensation for the damaged items and have still not managed to get a response.

This is by far the worst service I have ever received.

I booked 4 services of them and only the first one went smoothly, the second which was removal came late, and a cleaning service were pushed back and pushed back from 9am untill afternoon and then they call me told me that its been cancelled because no one came!! I was waiting, and make hundred of calls to confirm and they couldn't be able to tell me an exactly answer, they just ruined the whole plan that I schedule, then I have another removal service which I have to book on that day cause I fly away and they didn't have any other slots, but then still, late and pushed back even when I got fly away I stil in a worry situation because no one came to pick my stuffs on the booked timing and they even call me to cancelled it and pushed back for the next day, and the next day they even can't arange any replace service for me !! im not in the country and this services has [EDIT] me up with evething I planed, with my stuff hanging there not knowing if anyone will cone
to collect it. I wasted so much money on this company and still I got nothing but a mess.

I had a great experience with Strong Move. They were prompt and treated me nicely. Of course, that's not enough for a moving service to be complete so they delivered the items on time and there was no damage on any of them. We got them to move our furniture and some packed boxes from our old flat to the new place. The movers were big and really strong as they lifted and navigated the sofa through the flat and onto the truck with ease. Our items arrived on time and the price was not high at all.

Our move was not exactly a walk in the park since we sometimes don't even have the time to cook. Of course, we wouldn't want to have to lift everything by ourselves. Strong Move was there to help and the team was prompt, friendly and really efficient. The distance was not that big so they completed the job within a day. It was pouring outside when they came to pick up our stuff and I was a tad worrid about our furniture. Well, you know that the guys are professionals when they come prepared with plastic and packing materials so nothing gets wet or damaged. The delivery was on time and after the final check, everything was there in the same condition as we knew it.

The first impression I had of Strong Move was of a unknown company that claims to provide excellent removals service and no damage to the transported items. Well, everyone promises that but we decided to trust these guys because of their friendly attitude and sweet-talking of their sales rep. We were not let down and all of our furniture were delivered on time, packed tightly in plastic for protection as it was raining outside. It was as fun as unwrapping christmass presents and when everything was out we felt like we've moved with a snap of the fingers - the team was that fast and efficient.

Service cost: £120

We had our home inventory delivered by Strong Move. The job was a rather big one as we had to transport all of our items from Stratford to Mitcham in a day. The movers were rather elated and talked to each other the whole time - I guess that way the time flows swifter. However, when I made a remark on how loosely the dining table was packed, they meekly stopped and wrapped it some more. I'd also like to share that the price of the service was somehow higher than the pocket I've prepared but I was rather glad when everything was over and nothing was broken or misplased.
