Used this company to do a removal from a 3 bed house, they turned up 30 mins late, no apology, no mattress or furniture covers so marks and tares everywhere.

When asked to remove their boots as carpets were new and the weather was bad and mud everywhere, they said we don't do that.

We asked if they had shoe covers they said no.

Thankfully one guy took his shoes off and he did the work upstairs.

When we arrived at the new property they refused to remove their boots again and to take the furniture upstairs because again all carpets brand new. Their excuse Health and Safety.

I was left to get my beds and furniture upstairs myself, disgraceful company spoke to owner to complain and got absolutely no where.

Don’t swallow the false reviews or garble on their website, only thing missing here was the spurs for their boots. You have been warned !!!

Was quoted for a one-run 3 man house removal in writing. On the day they sent 2 guys 40 mins late, one of whom had next to no idea how to wrap furniture or pack a van. Took 5 hours and three runs to remove all the contents of the house. They eventually sent a third person and it took another 3 hours to unpack, with us doing a lot of the heavy lifting. I was then asked for more money and told the price I was quoted was "a mistake" and I must pay. Terrible removal and terrible handling of my complaint. All in all made for a very stressful experience.

Service cost: £300

I received a quote from SM Van Services via email and text stating that my job would be £45 per hour, estimated time for removal being 2-3 hours, at a cost of £90 to £135, plus a £25 fee for being out of the city. I booked the service via and received confirmation that the service was booked for 1pm, however they never showed up. When I called the company at 3pm they apologised for not having put it in their system and rearranged for the following day. They were running slightly late the following day, however completed the job in 1 hour and 59 minutes. I was then charged for a 3 hour job, with a £20 discount for the muck around (£140 total). I attempted to dispute this, as the job should have come to £115 (£95 if they were giving me a discount. £45 per hour, plus £25), however have been told that I am not due a refund because I was booked for a 3 hour time slot as per their policy. There is nothing in their quote or T&Cs regarding this 'policy'. I was also told I would receive a call about this but have only received communication via text.

I thought that moving house after 20 years was going to be really traumatic. Firstly, Sharon from SM Van Services made it easy. She was flexible with dates, really knew her stuff about estimating van size required/number of people and was able to make changes to our requirements at short notice. Nothing was too much trouble. We put our stuff in storage for three months that was completely flexible too, charged on a month by month basis. The removal / delivery team was brilliant. They moved our stuff out and in really quickly and were again really helpful.

Lastly, the price was unbeatable. We initially shopped around but nowhere could even get near the price that we were charged.

I would definitely recommend and use again if I was ever moving.
