On November 18, 2014, on short notice, Secure Movers, Inc. picked up and delivered to my home a dining room set that I purchased.   The movers arrived early at my pickup location and carefully loaded the furniture, and delivered to my home the furniture that I purchased.   The furniture was then placed in its final resting position in my home by the moving crew.   The movers were professional and courteous, and my furniture was delivered with no damage.   I highly recommend these movers, and will definitely use this company again on my next furniture move.  Job well done!   Sincerely,   Thomas F. I hired Secure Movers because of the good reviews online and the prompt, courteous response from the Operations Manager (Nate). There were problems from the start: first, my address was incorrect on the confirmation email after I slowly and clearly provided on the phone at the initial contact which was read back to me correctly. I emailed the company to correct the address error and no one responded. Secondly, the movers were late and they had the incorrect pickup AND delivery addresses that I thought were corrected by email.  Thirdly, after packing up the truck I asked the driver (Warren) before he pulled off, " Do you have the correct address?" and he replied that he did. I drove about 1 hour to my new place and waited about 30 minutes for my movers. I finally called them and they said they were lost, they read off the incorrect address to me AGAIN and I gave them the correct address, which took them 30 additional minutes to arrive. Finally, I saw my dresser (which was a little wobbly initially) and it was totally unusable, all of the drawers were slanted, the back of the dresser was unattached, and very unstable so I am not able to use that piece of furniture again. Then, I saw that my bookcase did not have any shelves and the assistant (Howard) said that he gave me the screws to hold the pieces in, this is completely untrue because he only gave me the file drawer keys. Now I no longer have shelves for my bookcase for which I have MANY books that are still in boxes. In all, I am out 2 pieces of essential furniture, about $600, (charged 1 additional hour for the hour THEY  were lost) and peace of mind about my move, I will not be using Secure Movers again.

I used these guys under the name Secure Movers in Tampa. In the description it tells you that they are professional, timely, no smoking, uniformed personnel, etc. I talked with Mickey. I also talked with Aleesha who is the assistant. I had a difficult job for them to do (moving one smaller house to a larger house) and the 3 guys that did it, did fairly well with the exception of stopping at a convenience store on my time because I didn't have any water for them. One of the guys asked me not to call Secure Movers for my second move out of a storage unit and to just call him personally. I didn't because I'm a small business owner myself and I don't like when employees attempt to divert jobs. The guys also backed the moving truck into my front yard, ripping the sod from it. They almost couldn't get their truck out. But other than that, and taking much longer than scheduled - it got done and they weren't worse than previous movers we used so I scheduled them to come back to do a simple job - moving from a storage unit to my house. They come back, and it was like they worked in slow motion. A job that took my husband and myself 2 hours took them 4 hours. They had 3 guys (more expensive) when the assistant told me it would be a 2 man job. This time they scratched our wall and they couldn't move a bed into a room that my husband and I ended up doing while they were still there. I called the office while the guys were still there and let them know that I was dissatisfied and they gave me the runaround. Aleesha promised that she would call me back after she spoke with Mickey that next day..that was a week ago! The company has misrepresented itself stating, "Mickey’s team is a dedicated professionally certified team, which prides itself on complete customer satisfaction." That wasn't my experience. Also Mickey lies when he says, “Treat the customer better than the customer expects to be treated.” I didn't expect to be treated the way that I was, and when I complained I essentially got the hand. DO NOT use this moving company.

This is an email I received from the moving company's owner.  FYI I tipped each of the three movers $20.00 each on the first move. :"Hi Dr. Lazarou,Here is the review we posted for your google places, Online.We will be posting this review on all of your listing online.Please check your google maps and you will find the posting of this review,Have a Nice Day..   As a well-respected and honest small business owner, who prides himself on operating in a professional manner, I am greatly offended by this review and feel that I must respond to the slanderous allegations made by Dr. Emily Lazarou.  Dr. Lazarou hired my company to move her for the first time on March 29, 2012.  At that time, she claimed to have been so happy with our services, that she wanted to hire us a second time to move some items from her storage unit into her house.  She was so pleased with our services that she called our office right after that move was completed and was very clear that she specifically wanted the same three movers (Adam, Mike and Josh) to work for her the second time as well.  She even told the movers that she was unable to tip them at the time of the first move, but if they came back to do the second move she would make it up to them; which was the first of several dishonest statements she made.  She never complained about any part of the first move, neither during the move nor once it was completed, so all of her complaints regarding that move make  no sense it all.  She said several times what a great job the movers did and, again, not only specifically requested the same  number of movers for the second move, she also insisted that the same movers themselves be scheduled for her second move.  The second move, which was done on April 29, 2012 was from a second-floor storage unit into her home, which are located 45 minutes apart.  She did not take the time to reserve the elevator at the storage unit or to find out if anyone else was moving that day and, as a result, the movers had to share the use of the elevator with two other groups of people who were also moving out at the same time.  The second job was completed in four hours time, which means that the movers were able to unload the storage unit, take all the items from the second floor to the first floor and load them into the truck in just over 1 and 1/2 hours and then unload all of her items from the truck and into her home, in the same amount of time.  This a better than average time for this job under normal circumstances, and when you add in the fact that the movers were forced to share the elevator with two other groups of people and the fact that her extremely large home is set quite far back from the road and, due to her large, cobblestone circular driveway the movers were unable to utilize their hand-trucks and four-wheeled moving tools, the time in which this job was completed is practically record-setting.  She tried several times during the move to have the rate discounted, each time coming up with new and different complaints regarding this move and the first move - the job she was previously thrilled over - getting more and more angry each time when we did not discount the move.  My secretary spoke with her numerous times throughout that day, relaying the customers complaints and requests for money to be taken off the bill to me and then calling her back each time, except for the last time during which the customer became even more rude and irate after being told the move would not be discounted and then abruptly hung up on my secretary.  She was not told she would receive another call and there was no reason to contact her back after that because the job was done well and in a timely manner, the customers complaints were completely unfounded and without substance and she had become angry and abusive after not getting the discount she wanted.  This person wanted something for nothing and is now retaliating with lies and slanderous accusations simply because I expected to be paid for the job that was done; she was even willing to string the movers along, telling them what a great job they did during the first move and that she couldn't tip them then, but would really make it up to them after they completed the second move.  I am an honest businessman, running an honest business and all I expected was to be paid for the work my movers did..instead I have been slandered and had my reputation attacked simply because I acted in good faith. I would be very wary of doing any kind of business with Dr. Emily Lazarou because no matter how good of a job you do, she is obviously willing to go to any lengths to get revenge when you don't allow her to pick your pocket.".

I was contacted and asked to give my opinion of Secure Movers. I had just returned from Afghanistan and, out of desperation, contacted a moving company to come and move my stuff for me. I had attempted to use a moving company before I deployed, but couldn’t find a reputable one who would return my calls or emails. The only company that did respond – Apartment Movers – rescheduled/canceled my move three times with no advance notice; including the day before I left the country. Because of that company, I ended up hiring random people online to move my stuff and it was a disaster. I contacted Secure Movers/Tampa Mover the day after I got back to Florida and the lady on the phone assured me they could be trusted, I was very wary, but I decided to give them a chance and we scheduled the move for a couple of days later. The movers showed up on time, handled and moved all of my stuff carefully and when I offered to help they told me to just relax and let them do all the work. They took the time to wrap and protect everything and nothing was damaged or lost when they were finished. The movers were polite, professional and sociable and I was really impressed. I am so happy I took a chance and hired Tampa Mover. Next time I move, Tampa Mover is the ONLY company I will call. I have recommended them to all of my friends, family and fellow soldiers and you should use them too. I have nothing to gain from writing this, I just like to give credit where credit is due and I believe in supporting local businesses; especially honest and reliable ones like Tampa Mover!

I've used Secure Movers twice this year and have been extremely pleased each time. They took very good care of my belongings and were careful to not ding walls when moving out of my old place and into the new place. The guys were curteous, polite and very hard workers. They also worked with me to ensure my storage unit was packed exactly the way I wanted it. Overall, my experience with this company has been excellent. If you're moving, I highly recommend Secure Movers! .
