Sameday UK Removals

I had to move my Mother's belongings from Blackburn to Oxfordshire, and after getting several quotes, decided on Sameday Removals as their quote was very competitive. Shaz was a pleasure to deal with, he was very helpful and informative. Kieran and Shaz worked, quickly and efficiently on the removal day with a smile and were very polite. They packed the antique furniture carefully and even gave us helpful advice on where to send various bits for the charity shop. The offered a packing service and bubble wrap and boxes if required. I would highly recommend them.

We've just not stopped since we moved in!  I did want to leave feedback because I thought the guys were excellent.  I wasn't sure at first because the price quoted was a lot lower than other companies but I'm really pleased we went with you now and would definitely recommend the Blackburn team to anyone.
I couldn't believe how quickly they got stuff into the van (and how well they packed it in!) They were very friendly and good at problem solving too!  We had no breakages

We used this firm in March 2013.  Their quote was £350. We had been given a quote of £160 by another company, but thought this was a professional firm and, as we had some new furniture, we wanted to make sure everything was done correctly.  What a joke!  I was concerned about our new suite, as it is such a light colour.  I asked Sarah from 'Sameday' if I should wrap it in plastic.  She advised there was no need, as the movers would cover the furniture in blankets. They didn't and during the move our furniture was left outside our old house in the rain - even though it was only a couple of steps to the van.  They broke & marked pieces of brand-new bedroom furniture. My suite is a mess! I wanted to cry. It's dirty & snagged.  I contacted the moving firm a few times.  They kept fobbing me off and telling lies about what had happened to my furniture.  I didn't even ask for compensation - although they are suppose to have such good insurance.  I just asked that they get someone to mend & clean my new suite.  They wouldn't have it.  They just lied about what had happened and wouldn't accept any responsibility for the damage.  Please never use this firm!!  My friend used the £160 firm and didn't have any problems.

We hired Sameday UK Removals to help us move items from a storage locker to our new home. They were considerably cheaper than the other companies we got quotes from and extremely helpful with organising exactly what size van we needed.  On the day of the move the movers were a little late as there was some traffic, but were very apologetic about the delay. It didn't cause any issues as they quickly got to work, efficiently packing everything into the van, despite the fact that there were a lot of difficult / loose items to handle.  After a four hour drive we met them on the other end to unpack the items, which they managed within two hours. In general they were fantastic - helpful, friendly, professional and efficient. We've had moves in the past where things were damaged but Sameday took great care of our furniture and made the process look easy. All in all, it really was a fantastic service, I can't recommend them enough! .

First time we've used a removals firm so a little apprehensive, shouldn't have worried though - they turned up on time, did a quick assessment then really grafted til the vans were loaded (Shaz has amazing organisation/loading skills) we had to do an unexpected extra run which the lads did for a very reasonable price (despite working til after 9pm) the pricing overall is very competitive. Would definitely recommend this firm, very professional, accommodating and efficient. No damages whatsoever and they were happy to put items in the correct rooms when unloading (sorry about the top floor Sean.

In response to your email, I would say that the team was prompt, brisk and courteous. On a day which is usually stressfull, as this was as many things have to be co-ordinated, I appreciated the helpful approach. The customer service we received from Sameday UK Removals was fantastic especially as we had to cancel and reschedule our removal date due to our vendors being unable to complete on the original date.
 
The removal team we had couldn't be faulted, they were extremely obliging and hardworking and took great care to ensure the furniture wasn't damaged. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sameday UK Removals. The removals guy were polite friendly and very hard working. Real credit to your company Shaz Gazz and Dave.

Since we had two homes to move and a period of storage to arrange, the whole thing could have turned into a disaster, but in reality couldn't have been completed any better.

 

My elderly father's move from Penrith went perfectly, Shaz and David arriving early and working quickly and efficiently to take his belongings into storage. They treated my father with respect and courtesy and he felt reassured and happy by this.

 

Our move from Davyhulme to Rutland went just as smoothly on what was one of the hottest days of the year. Again Shaz, David and this time Gaz worked without stopping to get us packed and on our way, and were waiting for us when we arrived at our new house. Again they were courteous, friendly, chatty, but at all times pleasant and efficient.

 

We met Shaz and his colleague ( I'm sorry I didn't get his name) again a few days later when they delivered my father's belongings from storage. An even hotter day, but his things were unloaded and placed just were we wanted in an hour with the same courtesy and pleasant manner as before.

 

We noted also that Shaz at all times encourages and guides his colleagues, particularly the newer members and in our opinion is an excellent team leader, showing patience and empathy with his staff.

 

Sarah was all you would wish for when communicating with a company. She replied to my emails and numerous questions efficiently and promptly and I felt she showed an understanding of the stress we felt organising a more complex move. She arranged storage for us and then got an even better deal which was perfect for us. She even rang me on her day off work when I had a query! 

 

These days, when so much seems to be able to go wrong, and often does, we were pleasantly surprised and reassured that your company was efficient, helpful, and above all reliable. The cost of the whole move compared to other companies was extremely favourable and all in all the whole experience was just what we wished it to be.

We would not hesitate to use your company again (not that I'm moving any time soon!!), and would highly recommend you to anyone who needs a removal company.
