The birthplace of Rugby Football, as William Webb Ellis of Rugby School picked up a football and started running with it, Rugby is a very historic town which has grown over the years to incorporate several surrounding villages into it. The town is therefore a mixture of old buildings as well as recently built ones as the town has expanded. Rugby is a very attractive place to live in, and last year alone reallymoving helped over 555 people move into the area.
Reallymoving recommends two types of house survey, the HomeBuyer Report and the Building Survey. The survey type that will be most appropriate for you will depend on a number of factors, such as the age, construction type and structural condition of the property. In Rugby, there will be old buildings that may require a more thorough Building Survey whilst other newer buildings may not need such an extensive report. In recent years Warwickshire has been affected by floods. It is therefore wise to instruct a Chartered Surveyor that will do checks for flood damage in the property, which could cause real problems in the future.
As such a historic town, there are plenty of attractions to keep you busy. Whether you be taking the tour of Rugby School and the Museum, or having a day out by Draycott Water, you will never be at a loose end.
