House & Studio Move

The studio included large paper racks, plan chests, art works, and many boxes, added to usual household items, and it took a full day to pack. Next came the big move, a very long hard day with heavy rain making it very wet. Two weeks later Conway returned to complete the reassembly of the studio furniture. Conway is a brilliant problem-solver who made the complicated move seem easy. Everything was handled carefully and safely.

Oh my gosh!!!! What a great company

We are a couple in our 70's and were not looking forward to a move from our house with a major sloping driveway. !!! All our fears disappeared from the first contact I had with Conway . He was so understanding, lovely, kind and came across efficient, and well organized. On the day EVERYTHING went smoothly in a relaxed and fun way. Alan was superb too and the two of them moved our entire house in a few hours. We felt like we had known them forever. NOTHING was too much trouble and so we were relaxed throughout our move. Disappointing.

We were very disappointed with the service provided by Conway and his employee. After pointing out everything in person, as well as providing them with a written list, they failed to move a large amount of our possessions that we then had to move ourselves the next day (including several large boxes, pot plants, a TV and DVD player). They misplaced several bags containing clothing and bedding (which we believe they accidentally dumped at the tip). We have also since found out that , rather than dropping several large furniture items and appliances to a second-hand shop as Conway agreed, he then just took them straight to the tip. Furthermore, they left large puddles of water and mud in our previous house. All in all, a stressful experience-not relaxing at all!!

Yes it was pouring down that day, which made it extremely difficult and dangerous to move the piano on your very steep driveway.
I would have thought that you might have noticed the rain, even from the cosy cafe you retreated to. Most people would want to stay and dry up any puddles that would obviously occur after having two removalists go in and out of your house a hundred times.
Re items: Thanks for the list. That was covered. For future reference, to verbally list more than 120 items is not the best way to do things (most people remember 5). We always act under the assumption that a client will either be present during a move, or will be there at the end in order to check that everything has been loaded. You did neither.
We sincerely endeavoured to bring everything required, and everything that was packed to be moved. My apologies if the odd small item had to be put into your car upon your eventual return to the house.
Re the items going to the tip. This was discussed with you. The second hand shop at the tip (where you wanted the gear to go) was closed. We had no alternative than to leave it outside. What the tip does with it, we have no control over.
Re the materials that supposedly went to the tip instead of your house: The tip items were left on the truck after we went to your house for the drop off. They were clearly visible and identified at that stage as needing to go to the tip. We always communicate with our clients in those situations. You affirmed that what was in the truck should go to the tip.

Excellent service

Many thanks to Conway and his assistant for the outstanding care they took with moving my baby grand piano. It couldn't have been better! My baby was treated as it was their own. What else can you wish for.

Fast, Supportive, Professional, Going the extra mile

Conway and Darren made the move enjoyable.

Moving not just the content of a house, but of a lifestyle block with too many items to list, is not an easy task.

They took care of delicate items such as oil paintings and glass.

Office furniture, Kitchen appliances were handled without a single scratch.

They did not baulk at hauling heavy work benches, and machinery.

Above all I felt supported by their positive attitude, their courtesy, their genuine smiles.

I was not terribly organized - they adapted to what was needed.

Doing overtime (a 14 hrs day) they did not lift an eye brow.

Unloading in the pouring rain - they just worked faster, with the same care.

At the other end they did not just unload, but made sure the washing machine & the fridge were connected. That boxes were in the correct rooms.

The price was extremely reasonable, less than I expected. They were like a breath of fresh air in a difficult situation. If/when I move again I would have none other - thank you Conway, thank you Darren !!!! xxx

We found Conway and his assistant very good. Although we had some very heavy boxes he was always cheerful and took great care of our possessions. They worked tirelessly with only brief stops for meals

Relaxandmove furniture removals.

I am happy to write this review because it is not often that you find a company like this. They are simply a good old fashioned hard working courteous bunch of men. They moved me from Auckland up to Whangarei and noting was too much trouble. They helped us complete our packing in the morning but still kept to the agreed price. The unloading in Whangarei went into the evening but there were no complaints from the boys. They were very nice and I highly recommend them.
