This review is difficult for us to write because we actually used their services twice and both times they performed well. The reason for the 1 star rating is that after our 2nd move we noticed that our digital camera was missing. We knew exactly where it was and which box it should have been placed into, but it was nowhere to be found. Now, this isn't a huge financial loss, it is more of an emotional and personal issue as the camera had many photos of our children and grandchildren which we are going to miss.
We contacted Sal right away to notify him of the missing camera. He seemed, at first, willing to follow up on the issue. Apparently, he had hired several local workers not affiliated with Red Carpet to assist with our move and he said he was going to follow up and try to find out what may have happened. Well, several weeks, phone calls, emails, texts later, Sal refuses to communicate with us.
This is really disappointing, given that we used his company twice and referred him to others as well. After reading some other reviews, I see this is a common problem with Red Carpet and Sal!
I will never refer anyone to someone who cannot deal honestly with a customer who has spent thousands of dollars using their services. Most of all, I am sorry that Sal is too cowardly to communicate with us and try and settle what should have been a relatively minor issue.
BUYER BEWARE OF RED CARPET MOVING AND STORAGE AND PARTICULARLY SAL!

Having never used a moving company before and hearing from friends about their bad experiences we were nervous indeed to entrust our belongings to just anyone. When Sal came to our home to discuss the process we felt much more at ease. Once we were on board he helped us prepare along the way. Sal and Jay were always there for us as we prepared for moving day. The day of the move went smoothly and the guys (TJ's crew) were compassionate and personable (this was a very emotional day for us) as well as took special care to protect our things. Their cost included moving items to Pleasanton apartment, storage of furniture and household items, and then our move to Truckee in November. We truly recommend Red Carpet Moving and Storage!

Wow, that was fast!

Not only did the duo for our move arrive a few minutes early, they loaded and unloaded our items quickly, They were pretty much done within the quoted time frame and were super friendly and professional. I love that they laid down their "red carpet" to protect the floor from potential scratches and inevitable debris. They were quite strong, took direction well, and even gave me some interior design advice when I wasn't sure where to put furniture.

We really enjoyed working with them and will definitely recommend this business to others, and call again the next time we move. Thank you!

I used Red Carpet Moving in Walnut Creek, CA to relocate from my home in Walnut Creek to Southern California. Sal and his team were amazing to work with and by far the best moving experience I've ever had and I have relocated 3 times in 5 years.

To begin with they are local in the bay area, licensed with the PUC and A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau. I dealt with Sal all the way through my move from the first visit he did at my home until completion of my move so much better than dealing with a call center. He personally went over my inventory with me and helped me arrange specific times with dispatch to fit within my time window on the day of the move.

The first day of my pickup the crew that loaded the truck was amazing, they were very polite and respectful of my belongings and easy to work with. They took care to wrap my large mirrors and glass top tables as well as any large furniture pieces and stand-alone items. They were very efficient as well and managed to pack and secure my entire 2 bedroom in about 2 hours including the wrapping/padding of furniture.

Red Carpet delivered NEXT DAY which was perfect and very hard to find with other services. The crew that unloaded in LA was excellent as well, they waited patiently for management to let me into the apartment and ready the elevators for them. They were careful with everything and paid close attention to my directions on placing the large items.Over all it made this move easy and stress free for me.

I would absolutely use their services again and recommend them to anyone moving within their area. They do book up FAST. Call them!

Used this company for the second time, and both were a great experience. First move we had to put most of our belongings into storage, and move the rest into an apartment, while our new house was being built. The latest move was bringing everything out of storage and then picking up our apartment, and bringing it all to our new home. Both moves went flawlessly . They acted in a totally professional manner, calling to let us know when they would arrive, wrapping all furniture in blankets, and making sure everything was placed where we wanted it. Also, the price they quote is the price you pay - no hidden charges. I will recommend Red Carpet to all my friends who might need their services.

Red Carpet Moving was my SECOND moving company to help me finish what the previous company couldn't. I wish that I would have called them first. They accommodated a last-minute, save-my-a** request, and I will be forever grateful.

The gentlemen showed up early (but didn't bill me until they had started), and got everything loaded safely and securely – no throwing boxes or dropping our items unlike others I've experienced.

When we arrived at our new home, I asked for some help finishing up getting the boxes in the right place (the previous company just couldn't get it right). They graciously obliged, and in under an hour we were done.

No stress, no fuss; just professional, courteous and helpful. I cannot recommend this company enough.

Don't make the same mistake I did: call Red Carpet FIRST. You'll be glad you did.
