Reasonable Movers

I am so sorry but I cannot remember the names of the 3 gentlemen who moved us. They arrived bang on time and within minutes had started to move our stuff. We were tired and had the most stressful week not knowing whether we would have a house to move to thanks to solicitors and were dreading the move but these three laughed joked, were so positive and didn't stop from the moment they arrived. I had to tell them to stop for a cuppa!
At the other end all the furniture and boxes were put in the rooms we needed them to be in record time. Furniture we worried wouldn't go into rooms as the doorways were narrower slotted in like a dream! What I thought was to be a long and stressful day was done so professionally, quickly and tidily I cannot but be impressed.

We booked Reasonable Movers to move us from a flat with one flight of stairs to a bungalow about 20 miles away. I listed everything we had to move on my enquiry and was given a quote that seemed much cheaper than any others I received - the company seemed professional in my dealings with them (all by email) so we went with them, even though I was slightly concerned about why they were so much cheaper than anyone else. On our moving day, they phoned ahead and asked for our postcode (which they should have already had) and seemed unsure about the job we had booked them to do. They turned up on time but seemed alarmed at the amount of stuff they had to move (again, they should have known this because I listed it all in an email) and were very slow to get things loaded onto the van. They kept complaining about what a hard job it was because of the stairs (yet again - this had been stated clearly in an email). We had even taken our sofas down to ground level for them in advance of them arriving. Their English language skills were poor which made communications difficult. It took them over an hour to load less than a quarter of our stuff, then decided that they couldn't take any more in that load because the van was 'too heavy' and we would have to pay them an extra £160 to do a second trip. I asked them to put more of our larger items into their van (bed, armchairs, etc) for their first trip and considered paying them extra for a second trip. In the end, we didn't pay them for a second trip but instead booked our own van and finished our move ourselves at a much faster rate than our 'movers'. On unpacking, we discovered that most of our furniture had been knocked about and scratched which was very upsetting. Our move was from East Sussex to Kent so it was movers in that area that I am absolutely not recommending.

I have never enjoyed house moving but Reasonable Movers did everything they could to help me move without any of the worry, I usually experience, I have booked a removal service and a packing service which they executed it great. With their help I didn’t have any damages to deal with, I was able to stick to my schedule, my furniture was moved safely and everything was in my new property in no time at all. This is a company that really cares for their customers and their amazing services reflect this. I would fully recommend this company to anyone who needs a little extra moving day help.

Arrival for pick up on time (near Birmingham to Wolverhampton) - after that it was downhill rapidly.  Driver plus 2 were only interested in getting to their next job; loading was haphazard and careless and unloading even more so; no attempt to protect soft or hard furniture and the result was destruction : every item of wood furniture (some very costly) scratched and gouged, leather sofa ripped and soiled, bed sofa likewise, white goods dented and scratched, mattresses soiled.  Almost as if they set out to damage each item systematically.  Method of getting leather sofa through door was to ram it through and hope.  Crew uninterested on completion and rushed off to next job.  Next 30 hours spent being given runaround by "head office" who eventually hung up on calls.  Left with thousands of pounds worth of damage and a pack of lies from the person who took earlier calls - claims court here we come as this company clearly is not interested in complaint about shoddy service, damaged goods etc.  AVOID AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.  .

I picked Reasonable Movers from the Internet despite most people saying I should go with a personal recommendation. I got a range of quotes from various online sites, and Reasonable Movers from the outset were the most credible - they certainly weren't the cheapest but they were good value for money and provided excellent service. From the initial visit to survey the move to the actual move day itself I was
very impressed by both their professionalism and the customer service. Our completion day wasn't exactly set when we first contacted them and they managed
to accommodate us on the Thursday before the Easter holidays once we knew that was our moving day. I was also impressed they worked with us to give the best
possible quote for both packing (we bought boxes from them and packed them ourselves) and for the size of van. On the day we actually had 2 vans and 3 movers, Adam and his team, all of whom were unfailingly polite and very quick
and efficient. They were even quicker at our destination - miles away - and had completed unpacking in around 3 hours. With the unpacking there were many
instances where they went above and beyond what I would have expected, and nothing was too much trouble, especially placing furniture exactly where we wanted it. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Reasonable Movers, and
would use them again (though we hope not to be moving for years.

Horrendous experience moving from Sheffield to Milton Keynes. They couldn't fit all our items in two vans even though they saw everything before they began so we had to hire a van on the day to move what they didn't take. We booked a fragile pack and they turned up without any materials and so couldn't do it and we ended up having to do this on the day ourselves. They outsourced the job so one van and two men were from another company - they had been told it was one hour job to load the van, even though it was a large three bed house! They were very angry as it was taking longer than they thought and they threatened to leave our belongings in the street if we did not pay them £60 per hour from 10am for their work. Our items were going into storage and they were so angry they threw all our stuff in and have broken items (chest of drawers, canvas print..) - we are going to have to unpack the whole unit to check for damage. They also made three rips in the flooring of our dining room when moving furniture. Head office would not answer their phone on the day while all this was happening. They are still not calling me back to discuss and sort this despite numerous calls, emails and messages. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I searched and called so many companies for my urgent move out from my current flat with no luck until I called reasonable movers. They had a driver living in Wimbledon near were I am, so they sent him in no time. They really did save me from the horrible experience I had from the previous company I booked with which they didn't even turn up. Most companies even ask you for money before the day of the move and it is not guaranteed that they turn up. Which is what just happened to me. NEVER PAY IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR REMOVALS. Always pay on the same day after the job has done. Thank you.

Used this company for my house removal from London to Bristol. They sent 2 van's and 3 men. They worked all the way through without taking a break. They handled all my furniture with care and covered with blankets. In transit they arrived on time and straight back to work to unload the items. The men were very friendly and polite. They even helped us to reassemble the bed's and a cot. All in all, a good experience and will definitely be using them again if I ever need to.
