Do NOT move with North Ocean!!!

Many of our goods arrived broken and even sime articles were missing. That was a year ago. Still we didn't recive proper follow up or insuranve payout from North Ocean - Jimmy? Immediately after the container we informed them and the insurance company. Found out that the insurance premium was not paid.... Also the North Ocean quote was including unpacking and removal of debris at destination. Of course the company which delivered the container wanted to do this, but notfor free. Jimmy from NO relocation ofcourse never answered our queations about this? Do NOT fall for his lies!!

They lost a carpet and did not refund or support.

They looked very professional at the beginning however they lost an item (a carpet) which was picked up, indicated in the list and never delivered. They refused any refund or any support all they did is claiming they would look around to see if they would find it...

Coordination between shipper and custom clearance

This company have only good packers.But they are poor in coordination.

They will leave the client to deal directly with shipper and clearance company once they lift your goods from home, though we entered contract with north ocean.

This shipment issue was affected due to Covid lockdown and consignee is not able to travel to India. Shipment arrived on 08-05-2021 and free period for container detention is valid till 22-05-2021 and subsequently chargeable. As of this writing the client is still in Doha. We were given the go signal by the client to send his goods last April but due to the uncertainty of client's flight to India, it was then decided that the consignee will be his mother and additional documents will be required. It is always a practice that destination agent will introduce themselves and will be in direct contact with the client once shipment arrives in India because the consignee will be asked to present himself at the seaport or present his original passport with arrival stamp. We are consistently communicating with the agent thru emails and separate emails with the client is involved. We never took for granted the issue and even managed to reduced the demurrage charges incurred. Also, proposal shared with inclusions and exclusions were accepted by the client. We understand the client's frustrations, but what happened here is beyond our control so it is not fair to write negative things about North Ocean.
