New Age Relocation

Movers tried to upcharge me $1300 more than I was quoted, claiming I exceeded the 300 cubic footage. They refused to tell me how they came to that new number, because even if I had boxes stacked from floor to ceiling in my room, it would not have exceeded 475 cubic feet. I had 7 boxes (28 x 26 x 19), 1 box (23 x 17 x 17), and one suitcase (32 x 20 x 20), a full size mattress, a piano keyboard, and a precious wooden instrument (cello). I went inside the truck and measured the amount of floor to ceiling and wall to wall space my things took up and it did not exceed 225 cubic feet, and that is if I am being generous. They did not tell me about the upcharge until after they loaded everything, then wanted me to pay $2/cubic foot to unload everything ($950 for 10 boxes?!) and they threatened to drive off with my things if I didn't pay. I had to unload everything myself. Awful experience. I called to get my money back, but customer service is terrible. Don't support their shady business practices. Better off shipping

New Age relocation called me about my move from FL-DE. I spoke with James. He set up my move for my family and I. When I picked up the call James, guided from the beginning, be prepared to give them a detail list of items you are moving he made sure he went over every room in my home including the shed before giving me a price. I have a 4 bedroom 2 bath home, I also didn't realize how much stuff I had until I went room by room with him. He was very patient with me and he put everything on my moving list down to my water cooler. I didn't know if I was bringing a lot of things either, but that was cool because I was able to remove and adjust my items with Jordan a few days before my move. I was delivered within 5 days with only a couple scratches on my Dresser, but the driver was nice enough to fix that up for us. We were very impressed with the movers New Age set us up with. They spent time with me since the day I spoke with James. Customer service was amazing, Sharon sat on the phone with me for over an hour and helped me understand the way the things needed to be packed correctly to avoid any damages. We paid $4,893 for the whole move. We tipped the driver $200 and the helpers he had $150. Thank you guys for helping me understand my move and beginning there the whole time. I loved that their company offered after hours - all the other companies I got quotes from, I could not get ahold of them after 7 PM est. New Age Relo picked my call up at 10 PM and answered all my questions. My Husband has a bad back, so we are happy we went with professional movers and didn't do it by ourselves. It was ROUGH last time. It was around 8 months ago, the drive, the gas, the tolls, hotel rooms to sleep because of the long drive, came out to more then what New Age Relocation got me set up for. Thank you guys. When we move back from DE to Fl we will be contacting James.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4893

The reviews left here with more than one star are absolutely fake. At no time did this company state that they were NOT the actual movers. The staff was unprofessional during every interaction, except for Cliff. My husband and I were under the impression they were SAME DAY MOVERS, and he stressed this to them multiple times that we wanted things they same day. At no date or time, during over 10 interactions with them, did they state that our things would NOT be there same day. My things arrived a week later, a desk broken. As another woman stated, the original quote SKYROCKETED once they arrived. If you are googling this company, STAY AWAY. I will be making another claim with the BBB. The initial woman tried to pretend she was doing a military family a favor by making the quote so low. You just screwed a military family and should be ashamed of yourselves. The last woman we spoke to was one of the most unprofessional of them all. No one has an answer as to why they kept up a charade that they were moving our things same day. Just stay away.

At no point in time did they say actually, not only are we NOT moving your things same day, but we’re shipping your things from New York to New Jersey, having it sit in a facility for numerous days, and then driving the measley 4 hour trip to Virginia.

I was nervous using a company normally I would of had family and friends help me but this time I was moving out of state. When I called to get information Candice was amazing she walked me through everything step by step. I have a new born so I was nervous I was never going to get everything packed in time she set me up with a packing service the movers came out and packed everything I asked them to. Took so much stress off me. When my items arrived in Orlando they help me place all my stuff where it goes set up everything for me. The customer service was great they helped me with all my questions kept in touch with me even after working hours amazing.. I don't plan on moving for a while but when I do I am definitely calling them back.. Thank you guys for helping me with this life changing experience.

New Age Relocation was given a very specific List of items to move. A binding quote was given. A few days before the move they called to review the SAME list of items and due to the intake done they determined that the estimator underestimated the cubic feet needed for the move and raised the estimate for the SAME items by approximately 65%. Speaking to a supervisor got me nowhere. I was basically told they took down the list incorrectly. The company that they co-brokered the job to came today with yet another new revised quote in hand before they even looked at the job and flat out lied. They said the length of move to truck was over 75 feet and an extra charge. The move was 43 feet. They said there was an extra charge to box pillows when contract called for all packaging materials. They did not wrap all furniture in blankets. The boss of the job was unfriendly and unhelpful. I would not recommend New Age to anyone. Do your due diligence and find companies that keep to their quotes, provide professional movers and professional support. I ended up spending almost double the original quote and don’t know what they will try to get from me on the back end. I would recommend you run - don’t walk - if you come across this company.

NEW AGE MOVERS will demand a cash deposit. I gave near exact weight several times. I WAS LIED TO, when I was assured me at that weight I am fine for the quote. I gave my bank information to secure my $1250 unrefundable deposit. I could not see the weight they had was only estimated at 6700, I was not recieving the emails. But I trusted his verbal acknowledgement 8500 pounds was what we were agreeing on. Then they call me week later and tell say 3 extra items washer/dryer and upright freezer that I forgot to verbally mention is now going to cost an additional 3k. This is a scam! We are now taking time off of work to move ourselves and out $1250. Don't trust this company!!!!! Bait and switch! Jordan purposely did not return my calls when I tried to immediately add the extra washer dryer and freezer, until the money cleared my account. They know what they are doing and it's wrong!!

Incredibly skeezy company. Astoundingly skeezy. As in the most skeezy company I've ever dealt with in my life hands down. They will use every trick in the book, every "talking point" to keep your money and not honor their own contract. When I called within my 72-hour window to cancel my move and receive the refund, she kept telling me that it wasn't possible and that I exceeded the time of my refund. It took 10 minutes of back and forth of cutting through her political talking points that had no match to actual reality, and her putting me on hold twice and coming back to tell me it wasn't possible...I persisted and once she realized that I wasn't going to back down to her BS, she finally put me through to someone to issue me a refund. But it didn't stop there. I signed the document which side it would arrive in 7 to 10 days. About 2 weeks past and I called back and they said that I needed to call back because they needed extra information to complete it. If I never would have called back, they never would have cared to call me for the information they needed, which is only my email address to Zelle me back. But this is what they do. In every step in the process, they must be trained to give every customer as much stonewalling as possible as if it's their job to make us frustrated. After giving them the information, a month goes by. Still nothing. What follows is everyday for a week calling them, and them telling me billing is "working on it." And refuse to give any further explanation. After 2 weeks of daily calling and getting the runaround, I asked one of them if it ever gets tired of lying to their customers, and his answer was simply: "no". He put me on hold once and I heard a representative laughing and saying "tell him our refund machine is broken" I called Paynote and in 5 minutes I got someone on the phone and they said they have no record of New Age ever trying to process refund. SCAM. TERRIBLE. UNETHICAL COMPANY.
