Move Me Easy Ltd

I am a frist time home owner and wanted to be moved by a company who was reliable I was very nervous about moving, I was given Move Me Easy Ltd details by a friend, when I called the company requesting a qoute I was really pleased with the customer service provided the man on the phone (Gelu) put me at ease. I requested packing materials which were to be delivered 5 days before the move free of charge.
Move Me Easy Ltd were on time 9.30am (as agreed) and really professionally dressed with the company solgans on their clothing, this made a big impression and it put me at ease, knowing my goods were being handled by professionals.
The move took longer then expected but that was due to myself underestimating my household stuff, the removal proters were very understanding and helpful, my nerves were forgotten by mid day and I had a very memorable moving experience and I am very happy the move was a complete success well worth paying.

Service cost: £650

This was the worst experience of moving that anyone could have. The packers did not arrive the day before the move, thus leaving it to my children and myself to do so. On the day, the tiny van finaly arrived at 12 pm with only two men.

It took 3 van runs to my new home before the contents of my old home had been installed. This was obviously of great annoyance to the new owners of my old home who had to move in around my furniture.

This caused huge stress and anxiety to myself and my children who had to physically take the furniture from the van in order that the van could return to our old home each time.

As if this was not horrendously exhausting and a strain on everyone, we were then told we could not have our furnture unloaded from our van until I paid the bill which by now had increased because it had taken so long !!

This then finaliszed in a stand off until I finaly relented and paid the bill.

This is the most dispicable way to run a company. I strongly advise you do not use them.

We were given a low quote by Move Me Easy by phone so I requested to avoid surprises on the day, could they come round to confirm the quote and see our stuff. They sent someone round and upped the quote slightly. Fine.

On the day they were 45 minutes late and once there complained there was more stuff than they were led to believe. After speaking to salesman on the phone, who at first had forgotton he'd even sent someone round and had to dig out his notes, he told us our move would be DOUBLE the price, plus more if they had to do two trips. He insinuated we lied about our stuff (despite his man coming round to see it) and said we must have bought more stuff before we moved. Bonkers.

We didn't have a choice but to pay double the price and although him telling us he'd send an invoice because we hadn't got the cash out for the upped amount the boys refused to unload the truck without taking cash first.

The boys damaged a number of our items, as well as damage caused to the old house, and new house, where they scraped things along walls etc.

It made for a very stressful day and I felt utterly conned and ripped off by being put in a position where I didn't really have a choice but to pay.

They weren't even professional movers, just two lads and a van. Watch out for this company.

We used this Compnay to move us In July 2010. It is probably one of the worst experiences in our life to date. visiting us and providing a quote Gelu was very prompt and professional in providing a quote.They arrived at 10.30am after saying they would be with us at 8am. A Luton van arrived with the words'To Hire 40 per day ' it was indeed a van and a man. They provided no clothes rails or furniture protection or any wheels for the removal chap to use! They ripped the flooring of our house and at one point the contents of our house was on the driveway. When we finally got Gelu to realise that this was very very wrong he became really agressive and intimidating. he seemed to think that even though we had completed on our sale it would be okay to put our property back into our house while he sorted out a van to move the rest of our stuff which was still on our drive!! I will laugh about this one day, maybe not this year or next!
Use this Company at your peril!!

Gelu Singh (I presume the proprietor) is a good enough salesman but the actual move day was a disaster from start to finish. In summary:

- They only sent one van so we had to do shuttle runs, delaying the whole chain by 4 hours.
- They only sent two guys who were incredibly lazy and stopped for a fag break every half hour.
- One of the guys became abusive when I challenged his inactivity.
- Furtniture was left in the garden during a downpour, I was told 'well it will dry out won't it'.
- Several glasses broken, snapped leg off chair, chunk taken out of the wall.
- Despite all my grievances I was told the final van would not be unloaded until I paid in full.

As with the other review at the point of sale they were professional but that was it - all down hill from there. They arrived with no packing materials, transported my stuff at ridiculous times in the morning, a lot of broken things, a lot of missing things, a lot of damaged things, didn't do what we agreed. One of the movers even said we were stupid to go with movemeeasy.com (which has no website btw) and that this was just the idiot nephews hobble while the real business run well by the uncle is called ACE removals/movers..don't use move me easy - use ACE movers instead. Had contact after the move and told them of our disappointment. The guy in charges response was "well - you wanted a cheap move so what did you expect". They take no pride in their work. I read the other reviews and thought I would still give them a try but that was a big mistake.

Had a fantastic experience with this company, we had quite a large move so naturally I was very tense about everything running smoothly.
The staff arrived promptly and I was amazed at the speed with which they worked whilst staying careful and their experience obviously showed.
When arriving at our new property two of the guys automatically unloaded my baby sons cot and assembled it upstairs without me or my wife even having asked them and this for me showed the kind of service this compay delivers, they really did go the extra mile and me and my wife could not have asked for anything more from them. I can say without any hesitation I would absolutely use again!
