We are independent surveyors who are not tied to any financial group and therefore can maintain a competitive level of fees. This means that the advice we can offer you will be impartial, independent and founded on your best interests.
All inspections are carried out personally by the Malcolm Rand who qualified as a surveyor in 1987 and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. We don’t delegate our work to inexperienced junior members to ensure the service you receive is of the highest quality.
We are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) are RICS Registered Valuers.

Malcolm was really quick to respond to us and the homebuyers report he produced was very thorough and easy to understand. He was also happy to answer a few questions we had over the phone and was really helpful throughout. All in all a very good experience, great that we could directly speak to the person who’s actually completed the report unlike with some large firms we’ve used in the past.

Malcolm Rand Charter Surveyors were very easy to deal with. I emailed Mr Rand regarding doing the survey and got a reply very quickly ( within the Hour ) He completed the survey when he said he would and emailed his report the same day. His report was thorough and gave us peace of mind that we were buying a decent property. His report being in email format has very convenient , as we received it quicker and could forward it easily to our solicitor.

The service provided by Malcolm was very professional and the report delivered very complete. However I was not happy about having to pay for the report upfront before the work would be carried out.
