Craftsmen understand their job. So far so good! A piece of furniture was "destroyed" - the grain of the wood was damaged by packing tape. We've been chasing the money that was paid too much for weeks. The company does not respond to emails and you are always put off on the phone because the boss is not in the house. One shifts responsibility to the next. Warning: what does not work is that the employees have used the refrigerator several times without permission! They took out the food without any questions and took out the after-work beer after the move without any questions! That is not right. Here, too, there was apparently no rebuke to the employees. Based on this experience, I would no longer employ this company the next time I move!

Moving went essentially well. Unfortunately, one employee smelled strongly of alcohol. During transport over the stairwell, the expensive hall lights were destroyed one after the other on two floors. I had to do the securing, dismantling and assembly myself. Kattenbeck and Kraus only want to pay 20% of the costs for the new acquisition. So I have to bear the 80% of the costs myself (lights were as expensive as moving). It was positive that the injured employee continued to work despite the injury and the bandage.

We moved from a 160 square meter apartment (plus full storage and cellar) to a house in Nuremberg - an exceptionally large volume for a private move.
Of the offers received, the one from Kattenbeck & Kraus was by far the cheapest. Unfortunately, there weren't too many reviews on the Internet - but ultimately the price and the personal impression of Mr. Kraus at the on-site appointment were the decisive factors.
We have absolutely no regrets !!
Our move went smoothly and professionally. The company's employees were very well organized, very friendly and very careful with our things. Everything came in the right place and there was no damage. The atmosphere in the team and with us was very positive and relaxed over the three days. The carpenter assembled and dismantled our furniture perfectly.
We were also confirmed that the working conditions at Kattenbeck & Kraus are fair and good.
Only the number of boxes required was estimated to be far too low - but replenishment was then organized on the first (packing) day. With the offer, however, I had already thought that it would not be enough, and in my mind I had already planned the additional € 200 ??. The total price was still 1700 € below that of the most expensive competitor!

Service cost: €3100

A kitchen and a few larger items (washing machine, sofa, 2 chests of drawers, refrigerator) should be transported. The offer had to be corrected several times in advance due to errors. The whole action lasted from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the Most of the time the two drivers took a break and asked for food, while the kitchen carpenter didn't show up until 10:00 a.m. A chest of drawers and a refrigerator were damaged. The damage to the dresser was kept secret. The kitchen was not installed properly. Silicone for the silicone joint had to be obtained and paid for by us, although the online is advertised differently. The employees then stole the excess silicone (!). We still didn't get the money back (after 4 weeks). The silicone joint was then corrected after about 40 phone calls, on-site visits to the head office. One disaster. Nobody took responsibility and passed the blame / responsibility for solving the problem on to the boss / employee etc. The fact that a refrigerator was damaged, for example, may be an insurance matter, but unfortunately we now have to chase after the insurance as well. Definitely not to be recommended and under no circumstances should you pay on site. Even if it has been agreed, otherwise nothing will happen in terms of complaints. Legal protection insurance may also be recommended.
