International travel can be an exciting adventure, but it also requires planning and forethought.

Contacts – Take the office and home phone numbers of family members, co-workers and friends with you just in case.

Phone numbers and addresses of your destination – This information may be necessary for landing cards.

Tape your name, address, and passport number inside your suitcases in case they get lost in transit.
Money

Traveller checks – It makes sense to keep your money safe while you travel and travellers’ cheques are always a sensible option.

Credit cards – Carry international credit cards with you for emergencies.

Familiarize yourself with the currency and exchange laws of the countries you plan to visit.

Keep sales receipts handy for customs.
