Where would be the best place to move to find a job, or better career prospects, within your profession?

Whilst the listings of jobs that we have found, and indeed that you will find, may often list the South East as having the highest number of advertised vacancies, the cost of living and property may exclude those areas.
It is worth checking out other regions on the lists as they are often earmarked for investment and regeneration, with firms being offered incentives to move there. Many regions have websites that detail such programs.
Equally, it may be that those areas have a large number of vacancies because the salaries are not sufficient to enable you to live comfortably in that region. Research thoroughly what the average salaries for that region and type of employment are and then compare that with the other regions before making your final decision.
