Long-distance move from California to Texas

STAY AWAY they will rob you blind!!!!!!

STAY AWAY - DO NOT USE this company they are a 3rd Party. The customer service will assure you with promises, and once you make that deposit the communication breakdown begins. The movers did not have enough room on the truck to take all items ( which was listed) and then proceed to extort additional payments - I was quoted $2625.00 and we ended up paying a TOTAL of $5,620.00 90% of our items were BROKEN and destroyed, and my husband's tools were missing. Brand new kitchen chairs were broken - the mattress was brand new and was dragged! They delivered other people's items to our house also ( red stickers - ours were white)! I called the company and they did not care. STAY AWAY RUN CALL LOCAL - Anything but this terrible company! This company is a total SCAM!!!!!! Items were stolen!

Long-distance move from Windom, MN to Belleville, IL

Use them again!

William and Damian were amazing. They packed everything into their Van in under an hour. They were delayed by traffic but still unpacked. All our stuff into our new place, again in under an hour. Not one thing was broken; they treated our belongings with the utmost respect. Thanks for being so helpful and kind during the whole movie. I really can't recommend them enough.

Scammers!!

This company is lacks professionalism and tact. I set up a move with salesman Don Maloney. He called me several times and convinced me that things would be kosher for my move. I asked about disassembling TVs from the wall and he assured me that the movers would. We also went through a list of items and I told him I had very expensive furniture that I needed professional wrapping. He again assured me that the movers would take care of that and advised I go purchase bubble wrap. I made a deposit of $527. The total for my move was $1555. Upon the movers arriving on the day of service the movers called for the address. As a customer this sounded suspicious so my husband and I called the 800# provided. We spoke to William who confirmed that he would reach out to the movers and provide the address. When the movers arrived they had dissatisfied looks as though they didn’t come to work. They all looked a bit sketchy. The man in charge of the move was Juan. He stated that they didn’t have room on the truck for all our belongings, they wouldn’t unmount the television and that they would need to store my belongings and I wouldn’t receive them the same day. Of course we wouldn’t have book the service had we known our items would not be delivered the same day. Don Maloney failed to mention this! Our move was only 90 miles away for peace sake! Upon calling the 800# AGAIN we got Ruby who directed us to Sasha the so called customer service manager. Let me just say that she is in the wrong field of work. My husband and I tried to explain the situation to her and she brushed us off the phone. She then stated she would issue a refund. Sasha later sent an email saying that we canceled and we’re ineligible for a refund. We obviously needed to move the same day and was lucky enough to find another company to come out the same day. There was never an apology and anyone showing empathy. These company conned us and took our hard earned money. We were sold a lie believing our move would be smooth when in fact it was a nightmare. As a businesswoman I take pride in the work I do. I would never handle business without poise or hire someone who wouldn’t do the same. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the headache!

In Motion Movers LLC

In Motion Movers LLC is a scam company. I contacted this company for a long-distance move from Delaware to Texas. William Jameson - The Senior Relocation Specialist at In Motion Movers LLC, was my point of contact. First and foremost, at no point during our several conversations did William Jameson tell me that this company was a broker. He assured me that they were movers and that I would get a “five-star” service and that whatever price we agreed on was guaranteed. These were all lies!!! William Jameson pretended to be a caring professional who had the best interest of his clients at heart, but this was all a ploy to secure my business. William Jameson claimed that for transparency, accuracy, and to guarantee the price, he needed a deposit and a list of the items I wanted to move. I provided a detailed list and paid William Jameson and In Motion Movers LLC $650. This money was supposed to have been deducted from my final moving invoice of $1690. I would later find out that my $650 was a fee for William Jameson and In Motion Movers LLC to find me an actual moving company. I was shocked when the movers came to my apartment and told me that my invoice would be doubled. The mover explained to me that In Motion Movers LLC was not a moving company; they didn't own any trucks and that they can't set or guarantee prices for a move. They explained that the $650 that I paid was not a deposit on the move's cost but a broker fee to In Motion Movers LLC. They further explained that William Jameson underestimated the job and that my items would require a lot more space on the truck. It was at this moment I realized that William Jameson and In Motion Movers scammed me. I tried to contact William Jameson, but I was unable to reach him. I spoke to Sasha West - General Manager, who it became instantly clear was familiar with these types of calls and complaints. The first thing she did was to tell me that my deposit was non-refundable and to hammer home that fact; she emailed me a copy of my contract as proof. Unbelievably, Sasha West said that I could cancel my move and lose my deposit or only move the items that I found affordable to move. Eventually, I negotiated with the movers, and they charged me $1700. The total cost of my move went from $1690 to $2300. I was conned out of $650 by William Jameson and In Motion Movers LLC. I have been in contact with In Motion Movers LLC on several occasions to get my money back, but to no avail. I have spoken to Dan Maloney in Billing, William Jameson, and Sasha West. This company is a scam, and potential customers should be aware. I am going to post this review on as many sites as I can. I am going to report this company to the relevant authorities. I am going to take my plight to social media. I am going to post them on my blog and I am going to get my fellow bloggers to do the same. Do not believe the five-star reviews that you see posted online. Do not believe a word that comes out of William Jameson’s mouth or anyone else at In Motion Movers LLC. Do your due diligence. Ask William Jameson and In Motion Movers LLC if they are a broker or a moving company. Ask them about the initial deposit that you will pay. Ask them about the space that your items will use up on the trucks that they don't own. Ask as many questions as possible and don't take them at face value. IN MOTION MOVERS LLC are scammers!!

Long-distance move from Albuquerque, NM to Atlanta, GA

The absolute worst

Actual cost was $1100 more than quoted. 2 days late on pickup, 3 weeks late on delivery. Once your deposit is collected, communication breaks down. No word from the salesperson(Don) or the coordinator(William), and the customer service people can only do so much. Many times I was promised a call back to never receive one. They made my mother’s retirement incredibly stressful. I can’t not recommend In Motion Movers enough.

Long-distance move from San Tan Valley, AZ to Gallatin, TN

Worst customer service I've ever seen. Definite SCAM

Worst customer service I've ever seen by 100 miles, and I've been a professional sales trainer for a living for close to a decade. I was so mad and in shock by the end of a call that I was shaking. I am writing this 2 days after the event so I've had time to cool down, but thinking about it is still enraging. I booked my move more than 2 months in advance, then on the 1st day of the 2 day range in which the movers were supposed to show up I was called and told that the salesman that quoted me had been fired because he was underquoting jobs and that they were upcharging me $700. I was upset because they offered no assistance with that payment other than a discount on my next move, which is a cop out because a customer may never use them again so they may never have to pay it out, even though it was totally their employees fault. I had to agree because it was so last minute that I couldn't find anyone else that fast, so I did a dumb thing and told them that I agreed and signed a new contract. Then my copy of the new contract came from the same guy's email that had quoted me 2 months ago, proving they were lying. They didn't show up that day, and then the next day at 2pm when I still hadn't heard from them I called to get an update and was told it would be between 5-8pm, which sucks on a Friday night, but it is what it is. Around 6:30 I was called and told that the truck had broken down and that it would be a few days before it would be up and running. The customer service agent, who's name I'll leave out offered to call other trucks in the morning, but when I asked what the chances were that another truck would come within the next few days I was given a response that wasn't hopeful. So I told her to leave me on the list for now but that I would probably cancel the next morning.

The next morning I was called at 8am and told a truck was 2hours away. I told them I had already found another way to get the move done and that I needed to cancel the move. She said, "really? Alright, I'll get a manager" in a very snarky tone and then put me on hold without a chance to respond. The operations manager that came on the line next was nothing short of aggresive, pushy, stubborn, egotistical, and RUDE. He started off the conversation in a super rude tone, not letting me talk at all, and telling me several times that he was on edge because he didn't want to be at work on a Saturday. He said I had never been upcharged and I didn't read my contract, because he hadn't bothered to look at my previous contract but he wouldn't let me get that out. After about 10 minutes of this, he totally switched up his tone is a very creepy way and started to say that he was sorry and that we needed to just breath and get on the same page. But even after this fake change of heart, he kept me on the phone for another 15 minutes just telling me over and over, "Come on, I don't want it to be like this. Just tell me what we need to do!", and me saying over and over, "I've told you time and time again. All we need to do is cancel the move and you guys can just keep the deposit, I'm over it." He wouldn't hear me out at all, and wouldn't every say he was going to cancel the move. After admittedly losing my temper and using stong language towards what was the most infuriating and rudest person I've ever talked to in customer service I hung up on him. Luckily an hour later I got the cancellation notice by email.

The worst part of the entire ordeal is that I'll never fully be able to express how truly horrible the experience was from both the customer service agent and the "operations manager".

Long-distance move from Springfield, VA to Oklahoma City, OK

Move from Springfield, VA to Oklahoma City, OK part 1

Absolute SCAM and Horrible Customer Service!! Would give ZERO Stars if available. Back in April we were contacted by Brian Moore in regards to a moving Estimate that I wanted to get, for our upcoming move to OKC. While speaking with Brian we went over the items that we needed to be moved and the size of the house and so forth, he assured me that this was something that they could do and that they were the company to go with. While speaking with him he placed me on hold several times to speak with his operations manager Don to see what kind of discounts he could provide to us, after several back and forth with Don and Brian they proceeded to give me a quote based off the inventory that I had provided to them, then they forward the quote to me to review. A few days later I got a call from Don just asking me if I had time to look the contract over and what my thoughts were, he also said that because they were slow he could offer more of a discount and then proceed to quote me another price. While speaking with Don I kept asking him if something were to happen and we were not able to make this move happen would we be able to get our money back and he assured me that it was 100% refundable, so after securing things on our end we decided we would go ahead and set the move up with the company, that is when they required a $2,000 deposit on a $6,500 move. We tried to Zelle the money to them but was not successful so we had to ACH it to them. After that we didn't have much contact with anyone at all unless I called them to change dates or ask questions. Several times I called the Customer Service Representative Nicole but unfortunately she was not very informative always had to contact the dispatch office to provide any information, she did provided me information that I would be getting a call from the Quality Assurance people to go over our inventory one last time and to set up dates and time of when the movers would be here. On June 9th I spoke with Jake from Quality Assurance and we went over things. At that time we needed to add a few things to our inventory and remove some things as well, after that he told us that it would be best for us to get a dedicated truck due to the size of our move and then that way we would be sure that all of our stuff would fit on the truck, he then placed me on hold went and spoke with someone and then he came back and said that this is the best option and price, that we would need to give him $1,200.00 more because they would need to provide a bigger truck and one more body, so I paid that by Credit Card. He provided me the Customer Service number and told me I could call them and that they would give me the name and time of the company that will be out to move us. So once again I spoke with Nicole to see about the dates she said that she had not received that information from dispatch as of yet but she would call me on Saturday with that information. On 6/12/21 I called Customer Service again a woman by the name of Sasha answered and I asked to speak with Nicole, she said that she was not available but she would giver her the message, needless to say I never received a call back. On 6/13/21, since I had not heard anything I decided to email the company in hopes to get a better response. I did get a response by Sasha who stated she received my email but it was only 8:30 in the morning and nobody in their right mind was up that early on a Sunday. I proceed to explain to her our situation and that we did not received a call from Nicole in regards to when our movers were showing up and she tells me that she will let Nicole know and she will be in contact with me. Later that Day I received a call from Nicole saying that our movers were scheduled to arrive on 6/14/21, when I asked what time and who the company was she again said that she didn't have that information that she would need to get a hold of dispatch and that she would call me back. Needless to say again I NEVER received a call from her.

In motion

Nope. Do not use. You will be sorry and will be paying too much. They kept me on a string with promises for a long time and ultimately just failed to show up or even call me. I then went to my plan B —- just hired a couple local guys for a couple hundred dollars to load a rented uhaul truck, drove the truck myself, and hired a few guys to unload it. Very simple, I controlled the schedule, and at end of day did it for half the money. Give them zero stars.

Long-distance move from Schertz, TX to Sebastian, FL

Scammers

Do not use this company, they are scammers! Their US DOT number is 3496477 MC: 1152512. They picked up our things in June from Texas for our move to Florida. They have not delivered our entire goods. Customer service is none existent. Jackie was rude and I asked to speak to her manager Nicole. She was even ruder and when I requested the number of her manage, apparently the owners are her boss, I was told that they are to busy to call or speak to the customer. We plan to contact our attorney next and the Better Business Bureau and the attorney general of Florida related to this company. There was a signed contract with a promised date.
