How we check our partners

At reallymoving, we are proud to work with professional, experienced companies.

That’s why we always do a thorough check on companies before adding them to our panel and making them partners. We want you to feel safe and secure knowing not only that you can look back at company reviews from genuine reallymoving customers, but that we’ve done our homework when it comes to who we’re hosting on our site.

Credit Checking

The first thing we do when considering a new partner is to run a credit check using Credit Focus. We only work with companies who check out and are completely solvent, with a visible and appropriate credit history. The credit rating of all companies on our panel is monitored on a weekly basis.

Professional Business

We check to make sure each company has a professional, legitimate and operational website, and we look through their online profiles and reviews to ensure they have a good reputation.  Each company on the reallymoving.com panel has signed an agreement setting out how they may use the data we supply them, and terms relevant to the service they are providing.

When it comes to our removals teams, we only work with companies, rather than ‘man and van’ operations. Companies have to have been operational for over a year. Every removals company is required to sign up to our Code of Practice to ensure a quality service.

We keep an eye on any disciplinary actions or tribunals held by the RICS or the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority, along with the Legal Ombudsman.

Qualifications and Certifications

When checking Chartered Surveyors we ensure they are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

When checking conveyancing solicitors, we go through the Law Society and ensure they are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and hold the Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation.

When considering licensed conveyancers, we confirm they are regulated with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, and must now present a CLC badge to show their website is secure.

Insurance and Safety

When working with a removals company we consider the following insurance documents:
  • Goods in Transit
  • Employee and Public Liability Insurance
  • Vehicle/ Fleet Insurance
  • Terms and conditions

We can also check directly with the insurance brokers to ensure the correct policies are in place.

All current partners are continuously credit checked and we also carry out random spot checks of insurances to make sure they are up to date.  We also carry out ‘mystery shopping’ exercises to ensure our partners are appropriately responsive.
