Great moving experience! So glad I called Hemmen Moving for my move from Iowa to Colorado! Very responsive, upfront & kind. Explained very clearly what to expect with a long distance move. Were very responsive to my needs & offers storage for trips like mine that had time in between moving out & moving in. I looked at a few different places/options for moving company. I really liked the available storage and only my stuff on the truck (you put the lock on & keep the key till delivery) No worrying about damage or mixed up from being stored or moved with other households. Prices where very competitive/reasonable. Pick up & delivery guys were all very nice, clean & took great care with handling my contents. Nothing damaged! Communication was excellent! 100% would recommend & use again for moving!

My first time with prof movers. I had heard many disaster stories! Hemmen Movers were local to Iowa and recommended by Angie's List. References gave good reports. Darren answered my many questions patiently. They were able to combine my trip with another person so that I paid only half mileage! To get the deal, we had to have our things ready a couple weeks early, which was inconvenient.  The total price of $2,500 was very reasonable. Great communication with the office and the truck. Matthew, the driver, and companion Aaron were professional, skilled, and great guys. Have not opened the boxes yet, but everything seems intact. I recently used Hemmen Moving for my household move from West Des Moines to Milwaukee. Hemmen Moving bid the job significantly cheaper than their competitors and they did a fantastic job. Darren and his team provided excellent customer service, showed up on time, worked hard and got the job done on time and on budget. We were very happy with our move from Webster City to Ankeny in August, 2020. We were able to load our furniture on a Thursday and have it unloaded at our new house on Saturday to accommodate closing on both houses on Friday. It was very hot. The four movers wore masks at all times. They were very respectful of our new home and moved all our furniture without incident. The cost was less than what we had anticipated, as well. We will definitely recommend Hemmen moving service to all our family and friends.

Great experience with these movers!  I had to change schedules and ended up doing both a move and loading a storage trailer the same day.  The guys were friendly, professional, and efficient, and loaded a great deal of heavy, fragile antique furniture without a hitch.. in 90˚ temps and up and down steep stairways.  No damage, no problem getting everything done.. totally exceeded my expectations.  They were flexible enough to load in some additional (heavy) items I'd planned to move myself, from several outbuildings.. and had no problem unloading to multiple buildings.  Would recommend them to anyone for value and professionalism in local moves.
