Eagle Movers

They told me they "went out of business", took my money (and items), and made me pay for a different company. It took over a year and 4 months to get my items. Also, this company REFUSES to answer emails and will not use a form of communication reliable for international clients (like Line or Whatsapp) as they "would not get any rest" if costumers could actually contact them. I've been waiting to write this review out of fear of potential retaliation, but now that I finally have my things. . . . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR ITEMS, MONEY, AND SANITY. As for the "staff" at Eagle, you are ALL liars and crooks. Get a real job and stop scamming people.

They ended up charging us 3 times the initial quotation, after not agreeing to pay they would not release our stuff if not paid for absurd storage fees, claimed that customs held art items that their company was supposed to make paperwork for,they never sent us these art items of great value. After an immensely late delivery where all of the carriage and delivery charges where paid by us when Eagle Movers had promised "door to door" our items arrived in horrible condition with most of it damaged and broken, at least half of our fragile items were destroyed by their non professional packing and way of stacking into wooden crates (using TV as a top for packing and mirror as a corner), worst of all experiences in Thailand. The manager is literally the rudest manager I have ever talked to, no need to waste your time, money and energy here. Shame

I took the cheap option and used Eagle movers to move from Thailand to UAE. It was a huge mistake; yes, everything arrived but took 4+ months (Shared container). Like many of the negative reviews on Eagle, i had a very similar bad experience.

The main issue was the communication. Don't be tricked by the good communication leading up to payment, as soon as you pay the communication stops, no reply to emails, no way of contacting them or getting anyone to speak to you. You are left in the dark, hoping your package will arrive.

It’s quite obvious the owner hides behind an alias through the emails.

Expect an increase in your original quotation due to 'shipping price increases' although no solid justification to back this up.

Avoid at all costs

Move size: Studio flat Service cost: $1500

If you use Eagle Movers you can expect two things:

1. The quoted price will not be the final price; and

2. An almost total absence of communication (unless, ironically, it’s associated with #1 and asking for more money or replying to bad reviews)

Seriously, check the reviews and you can see a very distinct pattern forming. They have a reputation for coming in with a low quote to secure the contract and then increasing with ‘extra fees’—in my case once they had our belongings and it was too late to turn back.

Their only advantage over the larger moving Co’s is the price they offer however that’s almost completely negated by #1 above and even if the final price is still the same or even marginally cheaper than others this is negated by the incalculable value of lack of stress in dealing with a more reputable firm.

In summary DO NOT use this company, believe me that you will regret it.

If you think you will save money by using them you won’t, it will end up costing about the same as a larger more reputable firm, and anything you do save will not be worth the nightmarish stress of dealing with these people.

Honestly the single worst customer experience of my life.

Eagle Movers had provided the most attractive initial quote, so I engaged with them further with the plan to have them move my belongings. However, it was only after a week of constantly emailing back and forth that they revealed that their initial quote did not include destination side fees, which increased the total price by 60%!

The new price made them more expensive than all other moving companies I had checked with, which had all included destination side fees in their initial quote. Thankfully,I was able to another mover at that point, as I had not signed a contract.

From reading other reviews and my own experience, it looks like they have a pattern of luring in prospective customers with lowballed initial quotes, and then springing higher pricing on them when they are already committed due to all the time and energy spent.

Not only was a week of my time wasted corresponding with them, but I had to rush to switch to another mover as a result. The final joke was that when they sprang the additional destination side fees on me, they made it sound like they were doing me a favor by informing me of this additional cost!

I am an Engineering professional of over 30 years and I have never, once in my lifetime experienced such a shockingly appalling level of customer service as I received from this bunch of cowboys.

In line with other reviews, the experience began pleasantly enough, responding to emails reasonably promptly at the enquiry stage. Once the quote was received, some requests for clarification on points were met with a slightly curt response which, raised eyebrows but, as the quote seemed reasonable enough, I went ahead.

Then it all changed. My god, did it change.

The collection staff seemed reasonable and packed things well-ish despite having no basic tools to hand or enough knowledge or skill to disassemble a basic floor lamp. It later transpired that they lost the paperwork which I prepared in line with their request and handed to them.

After leaving, I received a phone call to inform me that the charges would be 50% higher than quoted. For what? For the size of my total shipment being around 10% what I was quoted.

Then the appalling language and unbelievable rudeness started from both this [NAME EDIT], the expat owner and his 'staff' (this guy does a really poor job of hiding behind the name of his Thai 'manager' in a lot of emails.) I paid, after negotiations to reduce the surcharge a little and being threatened with 'if you don't pay your stuff will not be insured'. Which basically amounts to a threat of setting fire to your valuable personal belongings which have already been taken away.

If anyone is interested in reading the most disgusting language used between a service provider and their customer, I would gladly share the emails.

A literally constant barrage of abuse punctuated a SEVEN MONTH WAIT for my small, LCL shipment from Thailand to the UK, whenever an enquiry was raised. Eventually only happening since I took it in myself to hire a local Thai agent to get on top of them and threaten them with legal action if they did not ship my goods.

Of course, despite paying way over the quoted price, the huge delay will be arbitrarily blamed on Covid. On top of all this, my goods were shipped LOOSE and NOT in the wooden crate which I paid for, resulting in split and damaged boxes.

I could go on for hours writing about the utterly disgraceful way in which I was spoken to by this disgusting man but frankly, I cannot be bothered to waste any more time on it.

In summary,

ZERO STARS - AVOID LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT.

We got 3 quotes before hiring Eagle Movers. They had the best price and the office staff was professional so we hired them. The guys showed up on time. Hard working, fast, friendly, courteous staff. They worked so hard and so quickly. we couldn’t believe how much work they got done in the amount of time they were there. They packed the 20 feet container in one day.

Everything arrived at our house in England in same condition as it left Bangkok, Thailand. Impressive.

My family and I recently had the good fortune to be moved from our home in Thailand to both UK and Denmark by Eagle Movers. We shipped 15m2 to Manchester, UK and almost a full 20 feet container to Aalborg, Denmark. Both shipments arrived without any damage. Little over the time, due to the Covid situation. But no problem with that.

Thank you for the professionalism everyone. The movers and management were excellent, nice people and 100% professional throughout the hole moving process to both destinations.
