I want to express my gratitude to District Relocators for making the moving process a smooth one. If I ever have to move again, I'm confident it will be them. They are punctual, excellent communicators, and provide a point of contact to help you get a fair quote and understand the steps involved in the moving process. They even follow up with calls before the moving day, on the moving day itself, and afterward to ensure everything is going smoothly. Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $840

I have moved every 1-2 years over the last 20 years due to work and this was the worst move I have ever had. This is a shame as I have used District Relocators in the past and was very satisfied. However, this move was unorganized from the beginning as they kept pressuring me to change my moving time outside of the time frame provided when booking the move. I finally agreed as they were just supposed to prepare and wrap the furniture in my apartment since I didn't have the freight elevator reserved, but instead they stole the freight elevator from someone else and began moving my things anyway. The movers were completely unprofessional. Due to their neglect there was significant damage to my household goods, many boxes destroyed as well as numerous broken items. They also put a huge gouge in my living room floor when moving the sofa. I purchased several wardrobe boxes and the movers were so careless that bar and clothes were all at the bottom of those boxes which completely defeats the purpose. The really sad part is that despite being a loyal customer and voicing my concerns they put me off for months and then offered $75 compensation. I expressed that after being a loyal customer for years and I would remain a customer if they would just make things right with a more reasonable offer of compensation (perhaps $250) and they said they would review it and get back to me. Despite several follow-ups they never responded. Therefore, despite their reasonable prices I will not use this company again and I would warn you to be cautious as well. Some of the movers are great and others are unprofessional and neglectful and the company clearly does not care.

I used District Relocators to move into my apartment 3 years ago. This time, I moved within DC to a new apartment complex. Luckily, they were available. They arrived within the time span provided to me. There were 4 movers, and they worked so quickly. I didn't want to get in their way, because they obviously had a system down. The move from my old place was very fast. The move into the new place was quick, but they took longer to make sure that my boxes went into the correct rooms, etc. The movers were very nice to me. They even remembered me from 3 years ago! I didn't have any problems.

District Relocators did a spectacular job helping me move. I was so impressed and grateful for their assistance loading our house into the moving truck for our long distance move.

The communication leading up to my moving day was thoughtful and helpful in making sure that I had everything necessary onsite ahead of time and to give an accurate cost estimate so that I would not be caught off guard on moving day. We exchanged several emails and I even received a phone call the week before our appointment to ensure I had the best moving experience possible.

The team that came out to my house was professional, efficient and kind. We had two trailers available to load the household good into, and they got everything into one trailer with room to spare! The team was in constant communication with me and each other during the process to make sure that my belongings were packed safely and arrived in the same condition they were in as when they left Virginia.

I would absolutely use District Relocators again, and I recommend them to everyone I know in Nova even if they don't have a scheduled move coming up!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $900

The movers for District Relocators damaged a wine rack while transporting the piece to a new apartment. A furniture refinisher hired by the company was unable to restore the furniture to our satisfaction. A picture of the repair was sent to the claims department along with a request for them to contact us. Weeks went by with no response to our follow-up emails and phone calls directed to the claims department. Eventually the Mid-Atlantic BBB was contacted for assistance.
