Diss is a market town in central East Anglia, in Norfolk but on the border with Suffolk. The town has been built around a ‘mere’, a large shallow body of water, and is surrounded by countryside. However, despite its rural location, the town’s railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line, meaning people in Diss can easily commute to work in London or Norwich. Although a small town; due to its proximity to the countryside yet with great transport links, Diss is very popular and reallymoving has helped 135 people move into the area in the last year alone.

The Chartered Surveyors we work with in the area are well experienced in delivering a number of housing surveys, including the two reallymoving recommend: HomeBuyer Reports, designed for newer properties already in reasonable condition, and Building Surveys, for older properties which may be in more need of repairs. A Building Survey might be a good choice in Diss because a lot of the town has experienced some flooding in recent years, and a Building Survey will be able to check for any flood damage that has affected the property.

Whatever you decide to do, you’ll want to explore the area in and around Diss. Whether visiting Knettishall Heath or the Bomb Group Memorial Museum, there are plenty of things to do in the town.
