Brilliant house move - didnt think there was such a thing

I am so pleased I used Derhams to come and collect me from West Berkshire and move my home and possessions to our new home near Chard. 4 vans and a lorry over 2 days loaded the contents from our home, garage and garden ready for the 100 mile journey. Colin and his crew were brilliant and so helpful. All the guys were friendly, very polite and cheerful - we did enjoy a few laughs. When we all arrived at our new home, our furniture was put where we wanted it and they left us able to sleep in our bed and sit in front the TV for a well earned rest moving evening. I can not recommend this company enough. Thanks again Colin and all the crew.

Never use this firm.

Although the actual move appeared to go well it was not until we were unpacked that we realized several items were missing. After weeks of searching we wrote to the company and was advised they did indeed have two items but not the other items and they made no effort previously to return these items to us.
No suggestion of any compensation for keeping the items that they would not return until we contacted them.
The two items return was a chimenae and a marble chopping board. Items still missing include a bedside cabinet, cushion, another chopping board, electric charges for toothbrushes and shaver.

Removal.

Did a house clearance for us brilliant company very honest people we cleared out all of the valuables so that they could come and pick up the rubbish, little did we know there was jewellery left of high value, even though we paid for them to empty and take away all of the content, they came back and returned this jewellery to us (we didn't even know it was there) very good company.

Yearly borrowing of piano wheels.

More or less each year I have to move my piano for little gatherings. Each year these guys willingly pop by with the piano wheels and more often than not move the piano for me!
Chatty and friendly and always insist it is no bother at all. I am always happy to ring them as I know these guys are so helpful.

Great service.

Great, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The move was smooth right from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. All items were placed where we wanted and nothing was damaged.
