The staff at this outfit are extremely rude and unhelpful and don't deserve any customers at all. They were not willing to do any packing and that which they did showed no care for the items they were handling. When the contents were delivered the fridge was scratched. I had to step in to carry our contents up the stairs when the father pulled out due to injury and unwillingness to deliver. The son was extremely rude towards me as the customer even though I stepped in to help him out and had already paid him to do the job. I should have received money off for doing their job for them.

We moved to an apartment and had a container load put into storage whilst the rest was moved to the new address. Subsequently had the container moved in from store.
Every step of the way the team (including Christian the son) could not have done more. We paid for a packing service and they did a great job - not one item was broken or damaged in any way upon arrival. They were meticulous in handling everything and nothing was too much trouble. They put down blankets to protect the carpets and put every box where we asked. All the men were very pleasant - and communication throughout was first class. The price was very competitive and included Packing, partial move to Apartment, 15 weeks storage and out of store delivery. I highly recommend anyone to use Cooksons - fantastic service.

As an ex serviceman I have moved over 25 times during my married life, including overseas and local moves, with companies large and small. The service received from Cooksons stands as high as the best of the rest. Friendly, helpful and courteous from the initial estimate to the recovery of the used boxes after all was comlete, we could not have been more pleased. Removal day was wet and windy, but the two young men who came into our home and moved us out were exemplary. They were respectful, both of my wife and myself and of our belongings. Efficiency was their watchword and the speed at which they cleared the property and loaded the vehicle was amazing to behold. Throughout they were courteous and polite, even when asked for specific items to be available "first off the van" at the destination. Offloading, albeit to a second floor apartment, was lightening fast and done with great care. Five days later I phoned to ask for the empty packing boxes to be collected. Thirty minutes later they were gone!! Previously I have waited for days, even a couple of weeks to get rid of them.
Full marks across the board for a full removal at a very reasonable price. Thank You Cooksons.

Used to be good when the father ran this company. Now the son is so obnoxious that he doesn’t see that his own staff can’t stand him.

Said al packaging was included when quoted but then charged us £80 for bubble wrap. Point blank lied to us about costs.

Then didn’t really want to bring a second van to take our valuable garden pots that he knew we were taken. He even had the cheek to ask us if we really needed them. What a stupid question.

The atmosphere from the owner that we insisted on all our items coming was awful.

Rude, obnoxious and simply not a good experience.

He was exceptionally disruptive and unhelpful in finding a solution. My daughter, neighbour and I worked hard to help him out, even going shopping for packaging material. He rolled his eyes at my daughter when I was sorting out payment. He left the job without finishing and charged me over £200 extra. A truly diabolical experience.

Christian and his company moved us from Preston to near Selby in August 2018. We could not fault the service we received. They organised packing boxes for to use, before they came to finish packing and loaded them onto the lorry. Although Christian had made an initial assessment of our belongings, it turned out there was a lot more then he had been prepared for. He made no fuss, and on removal day drove his own van over to the new house without a problem. For us, with our move, there was nothing more he could have done. Thank you to you and your friendly, polite and hard working team.
