Blake Enterprises Moving and Storage

This is my third time hiring Blake Enterprises for my moving project, initially I hired them to move me from NYC to DC. Each time they were on time and on budget. They provide you with a guaranteed flat rate price so you know what your cost will be from the start. The Crews are fast, friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Now it seems that I must waste additional time to write a review of 350 characters which under the circumstances is utterly ridiculous this was a move not brain surgery. I could have reviewed the Company and the great job they did in a single sentance. Happy reading!!

Service cost: $495

They came recommended by a couple friends and started off being easy to work with. We hired them to pack and move us.  2 guys came the day before the move to pack.  One left after a couple of hours, and the second left a couple hours later.  There was a ton of stuff left unpacked (despite the fact that we only lived in a 1-BR), but we figured they knew what they were doing. They came back at 9:00am the next day to finish packing and move us.  They didn't finish packing us until after 7:00pm!  They grossly underestimated the amount of time for the packing.  So they didn't leave our house until 11:30pm.  And that packing included doing things like just throwing all of my ties in a trash bag.  BUT THAT WASN"T EVEN THE WORST OF IT.. I had a marble-topped dresser that I'd inherited.  The dresser showed up but without the marble top.  I called and they said they'd look for it.  I called back a couple days later and they said they'd found it in their warehouse.  Over the next two weeks, I made very patient and understanding but repeated calls to arrange when they could drop it off.  There was one excuse after another.  It's now 3 MONTHS LATER, I've still never gotten the piece back, and they won't return my calls.  I'm not sure what alternatives there are to putting these reviews online.

I have hired Blake Enterprises Moving and Storage of Washington DC several times over the past six years and have been very satisfied on each ocassion. The experience begins with the Office Staff who are very helpful with scheduling, pricing as well as getting the appropriate permits. They provide you with a guaranteed, flat-rate price model which allows you to know the exact price of your move from the beginning. There are no suprises or price increases. The moving crews have always been on time as well as fast, friendly, professional and best of all carefull. I have moved many times over the years and Blake Enterprises is by far the best moving company I have ever dealt with. These guys take all the stress out of moving.    .
