Addis Removals were outstanding from start to finish. We opted for the 'full package' where the men come and wrap and box up, the day before. This was the best money we've ever spent; every breakable item was wrapped and nothing was left to chance. On the removal day itself, Kevin, Mark and Billy arrived at 8.30am prompt and worked flat out to ensure everything was packed away by 12.30. Removal day is by nature stressful, but this was one thing we didn't have to worry about. The professionalism and good nature shown would make me recommend Addis Removals. I will certainly use them again, if we ever decide to move again.

From my initial telephone enquiry I found Kevin Addis to be thoroughly professional and informative in my dealings with him. He visited my property to assess the cost of the removal and made useful suggestions re: getting ready for the move.
The quote followed promptly alongside contractual paperwork, all of which was professional in appearance.
I had no hesitation in agreeing to let Addis removals move me and my family on the big day.
On the day itself, Kevin provided a team of 5 to move us. All the lads were hardworking and incredibly polite young men. All of them were meticulous in their care and consideration for my property, taking time to move things carefully and pack them securely. They even took big items like beds and wardrobes apart and rebuilt them the other end, saving the stress of having to do this myself.
All in all they were a godsend on the day. They were calm, professional and polite, with nothing too much trouble for them. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other people considering them to move home.

From sale to aftercare Addis removals were friendly, polite and gave a very good price.

Sales:
Kevin came to our house, and was very courteous and helpful. He gave several tips on how best to pack items such as our plasma tv (don't wrap in a towel as it would ruin the tv) and offered us advice on other items as well.  He wasn't pushy (quite the opposite). Part of the service also included free box hire. There were no additions to add onto their price, like other companies offer (such as a delayed key charge; excess mileage; waiting times etc.) What they quoted is what we paid.

Booking:
Once we'd received other quotes for comparison, we opted for Kevin for several reasons; he was very competitive on price; didn't mess around with add-ons; gave free boxes where others were charging for them, and just seemed like a no-nonsense english gentleman. Addis are a professional set-up and provided paperwork for us and them to sign.

On the day:
Kev, Mark and Ben arrived and introduced themselves to us; and scoped out the house. They then cleaned their van, asked our neighbours about blocking one of their drives, and then they worked their bottoms off on a very hot and muggy day to pack our house up. They were clean, tidy and very careful with our belongings. They then took the long drive to our new place in Pershore, Worcestershire (not on the list on this site) and waited for us to get the keys and finish cleaning our old house. They had begun to unpack our belongings when we arrived, and had already organised things into 'room' piles. Again, they carefully and speedily sorted items into the rooms on the plan whilst we stood back and let them work.

They also allowed us to keep hold of the boxes for a couple of weeks until we unpacked.

The only changes I would make is in communication. Kev is a traditional gentleman and isn't always the fastest at responding to emails (by this I mean it takes him a day or so; no longer!) But in a world where we expect hourly responses, all I am saying to you the viewer of my review is that if he doesn't respond, be patient - it'll be worth it!  

I also provided the team with a rough house-plan, but it came a little too late in the sense that they had already assumed that the room numbers correlated to room size; whereas I had done it a different way - make sure you explain which room is which.

The team and the Company have certainly impressed me (and I do have high standards). We have now unpacked most of our goods, and the ONLY thing that broke, was a cheap glass vase that I broke on moving day! That is a feat, as we do have a lot of stuff!

They all worked extremely hard, and offered us advice on things like getting our king size mattress upstairs without having to fold it (which would ruin it!). They worked tirelessly and without stopping for a cup of tea! They impressed us both, and we would whole-heartidly recommend them to everybody.

We moved from Birmingham (3 bedroom property) to Wombourne (4 bedroom property). We wanted a full removal service (packing and transporting). We moved all belongings and furniture. We found Addis removals via a general internet search. From the outset the experience was excellent: 1) Kevin Addis came to survey and provide a quote at a time agreed (punctual). Quote was competitive. 2) A team of 3 (Kevin, Ben and Mark) came a day before the move to pack up some items and dismantle relevant furniture. They were professional and took great care with our belongings. 3) Move day was smooth.  All in all, a pretty faultless service, and one which we would recommend without hesitation.
